Was 2019 Kawhi Leonard the best individual title run in NBA history?

Scottie Barnes 2 best career scoring games are both in the NBA Cup. He also averaged over 24 PPG efficiently in the 2026 playoffs
There’s something different about his aggression in higher leverage situations. Evident in the fact that he’s also been clutch throughout his career
The Toronto Raptors haven’t had a player eclipse 40 points in a game since Pascal Siakam in December 21st 2022, the NBA’s longest active drought.
Scottie Barnes has now changed that.
The Toronto Raptors traded for Kawhi Leonard not knowing that they had Kawhi Leonard with elite playmaking in Scottie Barnes

TS% is the most important box score stat that exists. Here is a look at every finals team since 2015. TS% is doing the bulk of the work in regards to a teams offensive rating
This is why I think possession maxing is just a headline, and why I don't care about it much
Raptors fans that are RJ haters just need to give this gimmick up😂
Y’all can’t ever give the guy his deserved credit when he plays well, but will act like he’s the most detrimental player ever when he isn’t playing well
Well… he’s played well all season & ig it doesn’t matter
Raptors will always have a floor w/ their depth, defense, transition & TOV advantages. But their creation in inevitable non-Kawhi games is a flaw
But if RJ’s playing THIS GOOD then that issue is suppressed. He’s been one of the NBA’s most impactful offensive players last 2 years
POR were the worst TOV team ITL last year too. This shows the value of true PG’s despite narratives
Ja deserves LOTS of credit, but I don’t think ppl give Dame enough credit for his TOV limiting, even tho it’s INSANE. He even led the 2021 Blazers to the best TOV team of all-time
Dude the season started not even one week ago we can’t be serious about on-off conclusions right now 😭
My list would’ve probably been something like:
1. Kawhi
2. Steph
3. Durant
4. Harden
5. AD
6. Giannis
7. PG
8. LeBron
9. Dame
10. Embiid
Klay and especially Cousins (he wasn’t even good that year 😭) being there is crazy imo
Anthony Edwards has been heralded for his durability throughout his career, and yet injuries have still got to him over the last 2 seasons. He just turned 25 years old too so this could be an ongoing trend for years to come
The new game destroys player bodies. Shorten the season
The NBA season needs to be shortened by at least 15 games
This is a whole new league. Players that happen to be in huge bodies are covering way more ground by running & pivoting than ever before due to pace & space, and are constantly putting their bodies in vulnerable positions
An Ajay Mitchell slashing leap changes OKC
He alr got downhill a lot, but those drives usually turned into middys, which against athletic defenses that could overwhelm him physically (Spurs) he struggled
But he’s only in year 3 & J-Dub is also out, so he has a chance to improve
