📰New exciting publication is here! We used experience sampling to capture students' cost perceptions, connecting momentary and general cost perceptions.💫 Interestingly, students' motivational regulation (often) led to lower cost perceptions (but not when they were TOO high).😮

The US has had 130 mass shootings since the start of 2023 and 13 occurred at schools. In 86 days, 63 children have died from gun violence. To paraphrase Mandela, there is no keener revelation of the GOP’s soul than the way it treats its guns versus the way it treats its children.

We are failing our children. Guns are now the leading cause of death for children in the U.S. Michelle and I mourn with the students and families of the Covenant School today.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
According to the CDC, accidents are the leading cause of death for children and adolescents. The claim that guns are the leading cause of death for children would only be true if children under 1 are excluded and 18 and 19 year olds are counted as children. cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/c… cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/a… snopes.com/news/2023/03/2… statesman.com/story/news/pol…
