Recently, Year 12 students from St Benet Biscop were given a presentation at Port Training Services on the Port of Blyth's position as a major offshore support base and the growing opportunities within the port, followed by a fantastic tour of TEXO's facilities and the port!

A fantastic day for our Level 3 engineers at the Port of Blyth today, learning about the engineering opportunities in the North East. Thank you @PortofBlyth @BlythStemHub for such an interesting day!
They were introduced to the TEXO group by Alan Conway, Managing Director of @texogroup1 Port Services. He gave a fantastic tour of TEXO's facilities and the port, showcasing the sea plough and other #offshore machinery. We'd like to say thank you to Alan for making this possible!
Earlier this week Blyth STEM Hub, supported by @ReeceFoundation, welcomed a group of year 12 students from @stbenetbiscop. The group had an engaging presentation at @PTSBlyth on the @PortofBlyth 's position as a major offshore support base and the growing opportunities there.
It was great to host this fantastic group of students earlier this week! We're glad they enjoyed the trip learning about the opportunities in the #NorthEast.

Year 12 @ExcelsiorAcad students were the latest group to visit the STEM Hub. They toured the @PortofBlyth visiting some of the fantastic #Engineering companies and then saw the Emerson Cavitation Tunnel – a @UniofNewcastle research centre developed to test propeller design.
Their last session with @RepairBlade included climbing the @PortofBlyths fantastic training wind turbine at Bates Terminal - part of a series of innovations designed by the STEM Hub to help young people understand opportunities in #RenewableEnergy, #Engineering and #Manufacturing
It's great to hear the students enjoyed their visit and have learned more about the wide range of career paths available👇
