My office, like many Congressional offices across the country, received a suspicious envelope this morning. My team has trained for all kinds of situations and I am happy to report everyone is safe. I am grateful to the Rockford Police and Fire Departments, as well as the FBI and Capitol Police for their swift and thorough response. We cannot allow political violence or intimidation—of any kind—in our country.
