Khalifa

He is to us what Messi is to Football, Hamilton is to F1 & what Taylor is to Darts A sad day for the league as @ERT_Khalifa officially announces his retirement from JACKOCAR. He leaves behind a heap of records that may never broken. All we can say is, thank you. Legend. Khalifa was one of the founding members of JACKOCAR helping Jacko get the league off the ground during ILR’s swan song season. His ideas and input helped produce the product of JACKOCAR that we know and love today. Notably, “The Chase” is a Khalifa idea. The thought behind it was that drivers not so well on points still had something to fight right to the very end. We have seen three championships won by Chase drivers. In his own career, Khalifa was one of the best. From race 1 to race 71. A formidable opponent who knew where the limits of the rules were and where line was but never crossed it unless Pete Knighton was on the receiving end. 18 race wins and 2 Cup Series Championships tells you all you need to know about how good Khalifa was and his 900 all time points was achieved in less time time than anybody else had ever done it. 71 races to be exact, with his final race, a lowly P13 finish taking him to that milestone. From the controversy of letting Paul McGinnes win in Hungary that time to etching his name in the record books at the end of last season as a two time Champion, Khalifa leaves a large hole in the Cup Series. One that will never be filled. He has done more for us than what any other league could ask for. One of the greats and he will be missed. Congratulations Khalifa and good luck in your future endeavours. 🐐.

🚥 Race day 🚥 24 Hours of F1 2023 (@24ofF1) @ERT_ColinRMason, @ERT_GChalkers, @ERT_Ako, @ERT_Hooky, @TielJustin, @ERT_Khalifa, @SennaCH96, @ERT_ThomasS & @ERT_Timo Good luck to all teams and drivers taking part in the 24 hours of F1 event!

CHAMPIONSHIP 5 NIGHT 🇺🇸 @ERT_Khalifa comes into tonight as the only former champion in contention. He’s also lost one of these races before BUT he has experience so knows how to get it done. Will we see our third two time Champion on the Cup Series. The only catch is, he will be serving a qualifying ban this evening @ERT_Arnaud his wife is about to give birth so Arnaud is winning either way but we welcome back the Belgian to a Championship 5 race. He’s been he before but has never quite had the luck. Does the old dog have something up his sleeve? @BenHarratt96 if ever there were a people’s champion, Ben would be him. A massive underdog tonight but whom has consistently outperformed others all season long and deserves to be here. Does the magic of JACKOCAR still exist? @Speed_BenShaw29 Ben has the most C5 visits in Cup Series without success. He celebrates his 100th race tonight also so how fitting would it be for him to go and seal a title in a landmark race @ERT_Kaspar he said at the start of the season that this is his time. Kaspar has been solid all season long and has been rewarded with his first Championship 5 appearance. Can he complete the final step and take home a title back to his native Finland? *Please note - Qualifying order is not official
