Marked nuclear atypia, pleomorphism, and frequent mitoses are characteristic of this tumor. Anaplastic spermatocytic tumor can be challenging to diagnose and could be. mistaken. for malignancy. The key lies in identifying all cell types. CD117+/OCT4- proves it #urology #GUpath

Great example of the exception to the "tightly packed small round glands favors cancer" - this doesn't look terribly infiltrative (still rounded), but depending on how the needle went through it could be challenging. Higher power very typical of post-atrophic hyperplasia #gupath
