What do you think of this? I like the term “tender conversations” to remind us to approach them with tenderness
Kathryn Mannix says death conversations are difficult conversations when we call them “difficult conversations.” Instead, she calls them “tender conversations.” At #dotmed19
This is one reason @OttawaHospital has the Patient Clothing Cupboard. Watch for info about fall coat and boot drive coming soon. DM me for more info on making donations or accessing the service
I learned that one of my interns brought clothes from home so that his patient (that had none) could be discharged from the hospital with dignity. Acts of kindness everyday that fly below the radar. I have such love and admiration for my @uabimres residents!

The uber-positive, smash #Cancer out of the park attitude is great if you’re curable. I’ve got all sorts of nasty stuff going on inside me. I take my chemo & try to stay healthy but I know I’m in decline
I’m positive but realistic #livingwithcancer #bowelcancer
