Today, officers initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. During the contact with the occupants, the passenger was found to be in possession of a firearm and suspected narcotics. She was arrested and will be housed pending her court appearance.

WHITTIER: LACOFD responding to a call of a body in the roadway at Leffingwell and Kibbee. This is a confirmed hit-and-run according to CHP. A white SUV with front end damage was seen fleeing the area.
Someone is following a gray Honda Civic apparently involved in a shots fired incident in CHP East LA area. The vehicle is NB on the 605FWY passing the 60.
Out of hibernation to report on a deputy that crashed into something on the 5 southbound at Roxford in Sylmar. The deputy was transporting two inmates.

Sounds like another CHP unit caught up to the suspect who actually may be pulling over now on the shoulder of the 710FWY possibly south of Floral. Unit involved is not acknowledging dispatch.
Units are finally acknowledging dispatch. Driver is detained and the vehicle is cleared, Code-4. #PursuitSalsa status: MILD.
Somewhere in City of Industry’s area, a security guard at an empty warehouse hears as many as two people inside potentially stealing copper wire. Backup and aero bureau are on the way.

So deputies were following a wanted vehicle for quite a distance on the southbound 57FWY into Fullerton. Deputies attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle took off and the pursuit is in progress WB Orangethorpe approaching Raymond.
