Elder Ronald A. Rasband says Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Cooper Pratt exemplifies the Book of Mormon invitation to stand as a witness of God "at all times and in all things, and in all places."

The Book of Mormon is a great witness that the Lord loves all people and reaches out to all, everywhere.
The Book of Mormon adds to our knowledge of how our Savior’s earthly ministry reached out to all of His scattered flock.
Book of Mormon teachings contradict the erroneous assertion that the grace of God saves only a chosen few.
The Book of Mormon teaches that our Savior "inviteth ... all to come unto him" (2 Nephi 26:33). His grace is for all.
Similarly, the Book of Mormon tells us that the children of God in “every nation” have His promise that He “manifesteth himself unto all those who believe in him, by the power of the Holy Ghost” (2 Nephi 26:13).
These promises from the Book of Mormon are true.
I call upon all to act on these truths and to share them with others, that we may all draw closer to Jesus Christ, our Savior.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has an image problem, but the next twelve months has the potential to change the game.

I love this guy.
Never talks about politics, unashamed of his faith.

"Once a man who had been slandered by a newspaper came to Edward Everett asking what to do about it. Said Everett,
“Do nothing! Half the people who bought the paper never saw the article.
"Half of those who saw it, did not read it.
"Half of those who read it, did not understand it.
"Half of those who understood it, did not believe it.
"Half of those who believed it are of no account anyway.”
I remember hearing this story quoted by Pres. Hinckley. It has stuck with me for 19 years now.
Several elements from the rest of his talk lodged in my mind that day, too. The story of the piece of string. Laughing at the swearing man. It's a great talk, and seems especially appropriate right now. Do yourself a favor and revisit this landmark talk-- you might even say, "the OG peacemaker talk." 😉

“Revelations will probably never come unless they are desired. I think few people received revelations while lounging on the couch or while playing cards or while relaxing. I believe most revelations would come when a man is on his tiptoes, reaching as high as he can for something which he knows he needs, and then there are bursts upon him [that provide] the answer to his problems.” - Spencer W. Kimball

As we bear and proclaim the name and Atonement of Jesus Christ in all the world, it is important for each of us to remember that we are called first to teach, testify, and convert all to the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer.
Conversion to the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints follows naturally from that. The proper order of conversion is vital.
Today in Brazil we rejoiced to join with many of these converted disciples of Jesus Christ as we gathered for the dedication of the Belo Horizonte Brazil Temple—the country’s 12th operating temple.
Temples are essential to our Heavenly Father’s plan for His children. In these houses of the Lord we are taught the most important things we can learn and do in mortality and in the life that follows.
I pray that those who worthily serve in this temple and temples around the world will participate with joy and be enlightened and guided by all that is said and done in the house of the Lord.
