The more things change, the more they stay the same. During the 2015 WNBA playoffs, while playing for the NY Liberty, we were forced to play back-to-back playoff games against Washington and Indiana. Fast forward to 2026, Game 6 of the WNBA Finals is being played at 12:30pm on a Thursday to accommodate an NBA regular-season game. Different circumstances, same underlying issue. At what point do we address the structural sexism embedded in women’s sports?

Welp, this should answer people's question on if NY ownership wants to trade Sab.

Clara Wu the owner of the NY Liberty spoke at the Women sports foundation. She used Sab as an example for the importance of having self belief. “when I look at stars on the🗽,I think of Sabrina Ionescu. Her belief in herself, is unmatched. Clara is never letting Sab leave 😭❤️
