There's been a lot of great discussion lately about digital MRV - really enjoyed the conversation between @MontyMerlin & Douglas Gayeton (@EcoBenefitFrame) on @JimiCohen's MAX IMPACT about the importance of aligning dMRV with Indigenous knowledge! 💡 Something Douglas said in our recent chat really stood out to me... "One of the most powerful things I ever heard about how to understand biodiversity was one man who said the first thing you do is you walk out in a field and you close your eyes, and you count to 60, and you listen to every single bird you hear over that 60 second period. Because if you have birds, you have insects, and if you have insects, you have plants on the ground...bird counts are one of the most fundamental ways to express biodiversity" 🐦‍⬛🐝🌱 How can we ensure more Indigenous knowledge is included in MRV processes? 🤔
