A great idea for young and old alike! Check in on each other today and every day!
September 9 is R U OK? Day in Australia (@ruokday). I think we should adopt this day to truly check in on others. See matrix of ideas from Inspiring Picture Books Facebook group and learn more about this initiative here: ruok.org.au/join-r-u-ok-day

Good conversation yesterday with a major news outlet on the need to rebuild America. Discussed the Biden Infrastructure Plan – an important step, but only a down payment. More to come! #theresourceimperative #sustainableeconomy #cleanenergyfuture #energyproductivity #cleanenergy

Foreign policy is not a photo-op. It’s not reality TV. It takes hard work, planning, and perseverance. Since Trump first met Kim, North Korea’s nuclear program has grown. Now, he has again aggrandized a ruthless dictator, for nothing in return. He has been played by Kim. Again.

BUILD THE (CLIMATE CHANGE) WALL: Next time you hear someone snort and suggest climate change "isn't real," tell him or her about the $400 billion cities and states will have to spend on seawalls to hold back rising water levels. Sounds pretty real to me! Check out this chart:
Many older adults have been warning for decades that “future generations” will suffer for our selfishness and inertia from continued inaction. Now, those so-called future victims are finding their voice to try and shape the agenda. #ClimateChange motherjones.com/politics/201…

Before you all start yelling at me. My point is that we need to electrify, but we also need substantial investments alongside electrification in more winter renewables, energy efficiency, storage, and demand flexibility. Electrification is a key tactic, not the solution.
