Your salary lasts 3 business days.
Groceries cost an arm & a leg, rent is eating you alive & the IMF is in Bangkok discussing economic policies that could mean MORE austerity. 💀
At what point do the rich start making sacrifices?

There have always been arguments by states to preserve the status quo. The status quo needs narratives as part of a power structure that keeps things in place. It’s not the fault of regular people in their struggle. - Jenny Ricks, General Secretary, Fight Inequality Alliance #UNGA81

Governments are backing a new global panel to measure the wealth gap. Good. We welcome it.
But we were never short of evidence. The richest 1% took 41% of all new wealth created between 2000 and 2024. We know the shape of the problem.
What moves politics is pressure. Movements put a tax on billionaires on the G20 table when everyone said it was impossible, and in 2024 the world's biggest economies agreed to cooperate on taxing the ultra-rich.
So build this panel well, and build it with the people doing the fighting.

From Seattle in 1999 to the streets of Nairobi and La Paz today, the same fight keeps returning, because what drives it keeps getting worse. Billionaire wealth hit a record $18.3 trillion. The 12 richest now hold more than the poorest four billion people.
Your rising costs and their record wealth are one transaction, and you're on the paying end.
You didn't break this economy. You inherited the bill for it. Your time is now.

15 years ago this month, a few hundred people camped near Wall Street and said four words that outlived the tents: we are the 99%.
They told us it failed. Look again.

This crisis didn’t happen by accident. While people across the world choose between heating and eating, the companies behind the price spikes post record profits. It’s a political choice, and choices can change. Governments can bring in emergency price controls, tax the profiteers, invest in public services and cancel unjust debt. They’re choosing not to.

Norway 🇳🇴 2–1 England 🏴 Unlike in the FIFA edition Norway is ranked number 1 in the world for reducing inequality. England sits around 25th. Norway has stronger unions, fairer taxes and deeper public services. England has the NHS - one of the great achievements of any government anywhere - but has spent years letting wealth accumulate at the top while underfunding the services that matter most. England push Norway all the way. The NHS scores the goal. Norway's stronger overall system wins it. 🟥 Give your government the red card 🟥 Tell them to do better bit.ly/FIACL

🟥 RED CARD TO BILLIONAIRES!
The top 1% capture 41% of all new wealth created, while the bottom half got just 1%. And still billionaires pay lower taxes than most people.
