I needed this week (and a summer off frankly) to finally “get it”. Reminder to Myself- As we round the bend of summer remember this: striving for a work/life balance is not a lack of care for kids and education. It is allowed.

This may just be a PSA for myself to look at, or helpful for others. Teaching alone is a career, not a dead end. While other careers strive for promotion, it is hard to see our identity outside of teaching when there is no logical (or necessary) “next steps”.
