Can I take a moment to promote YANA @yanafarming for those in the rural environment affected by stress or depression.
Rural folk can often suffer particularly from loneliness and other issues, and the amazing folk at YANA are there and able to help. If you need to use them, they're there. If you don't need to use them, consider donating to support them.
I have no connection to them other than thinking they're great.

An example of a thriving rural parish engaged with its wider community and celebrating life under God in all its fullness. We have many such parishes in @DioceseNorwich. Why not come and join us?
Plough Sunday will be celebrated in Cawston in #Norfolk this weekend. Traditionally, on the first Sunday after Epiphany, a plough was blessed to begin the new agricultural season.
"it's a real joy to revive the tradition of Plough Sunday. It gives us a chance to remember and thank all of those people who work in the fields around us to provide our food and it allows us to pray for them as they go about their important work." Revd Andrew Whitehead.

Our moronic food system
Ban pesticide products here
Make U.K. products more expensive
Then import cheaper food from foreign farmers produced with the banned pesticides and undermine our farmers
❌ Imported cereals, fruit and vegetables have been found to carry residues from 48 pesticides which British farmers are banned from using.

If you’re voting for a Bill at second reading because you “agree with the principles” or “think this conversation should continue”, you don’t really understand what it is to be a legislator. Parliament makes concrete laws; it’s not a university debating society.

Calling #Norfolk farmers: if you can spare some veg for the excellent Nourishing Norfolk’s food hubs please contact @NorfolkCF 🧅🧅🧅 🥔🥔🥔🥕🥕🥕
Our Nourishing Norfolk team are making sure everyone has access to the essential to make healthy meals on a budget. Last week, Brian set off to collect several substantial donations: half a ton of onions from Cheveley Park Farm and goods from @MrOrganic

The same level of serious misunderstanding is apparent in this MP’s letter in support of the Bill. The Court of Protection deals *only* with adults who lack mental capacity to make a decision. The Assisted Dying Bill is for adults who have mental capacity to decide for themselves
Virginia Edgecombe retweeted
They are not decisions about adults who have mental capacity to decide for themselves. They are adversarial hearings, and the child or mentally incapacitated adult is independently represented by in each case. The clause 12 process in the Assisted Dying Bill is not like this 2/2
Virginia Edgecombe retweeted
In her BBC Radio 4 interview today @kimleadbeater appeared ignorant of the profound difference between cases currently decided by judges about withdrawing life support for terminally ill people and her clause 12. These cases are about children or mentally incapacitated adults 1/2
I’m glad to see this point is also made, more strongly and far more authoritatively, by the five former government law officers who have written to MPs today in opposition to the Assisted Dying Bill thetimes.com/uk/politics/art…

.@kimleadbeater: everyone, both those who wish for this law and those who, being vulnerable, most fear it deserve a deeper level of engagement than this. This isn't how we should be legislating on such an important issue.
