Got up early to catch a few hours of the final day and my heart sank seeing the scoreboard at 187-4.
But what a performance to level the series!!
The trumpets, the drums, the cheers!!
What a test! What leadership by Bavuma!!

Look at my fellow citizen’s choicest words on reading my name. Automatic bhikhaari & jihadi & Pakistani!
Imagine what Indian Muslims go through. This idiot doesn’t know the caste privileges I’ve enjoyed by being born in a Brahmin family! The @X name is an ode to the shayar!

Think this was the absolute first where I had no consonants before the last attempt. Tricky but so satisfying!

The theme came from an Indian classical piece! Norman & Barry had a continuing struggle about credits. Jazz played its part too! Have to google for the exact details.
Anyway, these posts are annoying! Nothing contributory. All fans would know these details.

The name is Bond. James Bond.
The story is that it was the name of an ornithologist who wrote a book titled "Birds of the West Indies".
Ian Fleming knew him and sought his permission to use the name for his novels!
It is another true story..

I'm not a Congress supporter, not even remotely, but I think it's important to acknowledge moments like this regardless of which party was in power.
In 2005, students at JNU greeted Dr. Manmohan Singh with black flags and slogans over his economic policies. When the university issued notices to the protesters, he reportedly asked that no action be taken against them, recognising their right to peaceful protest.
What's even more striking is how he began his speech that day. He quoted Voltaire: I may disagree with what you say, but I shall defend to the death your right to say it.
That is the kind of democratic principle we should expect from every government, regardless of its political ideology.
