lite node gets a solid update (or rather, already got it, release marker is on the way, validators will need to update), this release included a lot of work on circles (atomicity, native transfers etc), nested programs (both ways with circles), improvements for the hfhe worker with a developed actor model (ported from the bootstrap node), rule activation roughly after 10k epochs, everyone should update (mainnet gets this update too) with every step the lite node is already getting harder and harder to call "lite", with the storage module update and gpu interface for deep compute chains on top of circles it will become indistinguishable from a standard node. among the interesting bits - the proof model is also expanded, we decided to add validated verif methods in Coq from our early 2022 work for the sake of culture a couple more words on the PQ hysteria of llm slopers and doomerism, to clear questions we decided not to wait for the start of 2027, but to start rolling out the update on signatures, hashing and other stuff on lpn + our hash-based basis (where appropriate) already now with gradual activation so everyone can comfortably update signature format etc (detailed plan will be published a bit later, still figuring out how to do it seamlessly) github.com/octra-labs/lite_n… – at London, England

the test app, which we plan to release first on sepolia evm + octra devnet, and then add other networks, will allow sending ERC20 assets and gas coins between participants without disclosing the amount, sender, and recipient, outside the octra network (while octra is used as a computing layer for encrypted data) it will be available completely open source, the application can be run locally (using the same principle as webcli), no trust environment, sharing keys, etc. – at London, England

the node core has been further updated and now includes several useful things (+ amlc): -new format for snapshots ( now the certificate is signed into the stage before durable publication (fsync, rename, parent fsync), and ledger restore follows the same order, previously, there were many problems with this, which sometimes led to mismatches, so now this problem is completely gone) - an additional thing also applies to recovery mode, pending finality verified against epoch selected validator sets at restart; - the circles runtime env has been improved also, proposer side turn and refill policy (not a validity rule); - the virtual machine also receives improvements, content keyed program decode cache (64 entries, 32 Mb) and large int pool (512 entries, 32 Mb ), output-identical + byte work metering introduced\ - R1CS has also undergone some changes- for example the verifier builds constraints without witness values and releases weight vectors early, and some others; - we have also added a large amount of Coq mods to the repo that had not been published before (the volume of public formal verification for each item becomes more accessible for external audit; previously we did not open our Coq modules, later we reconsidered this at the request of several researchers, and over time this will be filled in completely), - the test dir has also been expanded, - the Vm and the compiler have received byte work mode (written, erased, copied, allocated and scanned bytes priced in effort), overflow checked mem spans, and integer constants decoded once per image, etc all vals should definitely upgrade their nodes, since there are no new major dev net updates expected, and most, all the fixes do not require coordinated activation, so there is no critical rush to upgrade, but for the sake of culture and hygiene it is definitely worth it the new release marker is also available, if you can't use it, you can always rebuild it yourself and connect to the network: node: github.com/octra-labs/lite_n… compiler: github.com/octra-labs/amlc – at London, England

the lite node has been updated, the release will be available in a couple of hours via the standard upgrade commands for validators, the aml compiler now supports terms and strict higher functions, @octra network is a continuous-runtime math machine on top of HFHE, so sooner or later, it will become a universal tool for running unconditional finite programs with predicted effects, the state of which is encrypted, and not just shielded wrapped tokens (a preview version for mainnet is also available): github.com/octra-labs/lite_n… – at London, England

The sealed bid is the first format we'll walk through before the main event. Here, you place a bid and it stays encrypted until the epoch after bidding closes. Then every bid opens together, and the highest bidder wins, paying exactly what they bid. You never have to come back to reveal anything. One tip: don't wait for the last minutes to bid. A sealed bid needs a little time to confirm before the window closes.
Auction Week is here, and it all opens this Saturday, 3rd October. All seven Xpectra go live together, and it's up to you to decide which ones you want to experience. We'll use this week to walk through how each format works so you're ready when they open. Xpectrum.

the mainnet is currently undergoing an update, once complete, all HFHE ops, new @AppliedLang features, a new program layer, an updated circle viewer, and more will become available (the webcli will need to be rebuilt for this) + cleaning things up and fixing bugs using the ML fuzzer tool @octralex developed (he might release it as a third party product later it seems) * * an automated bug hunter on steroids – at London, England

Universal Encrypted Compute
The cryptographic world computer: vitalik.eth.limo/general/202… My attempt to express in somewhat concise terms the true meaning of basically everything planned to happen to Ethereum starting from the fork after Hegota. It's really not just a blockchain anymore. It's a hybrid architecture that combines together blockchains and modern cryptography, to enable much more powerful properties. FOCIL, EIP-8288, Lean consensus, state management, formal verification, advanced mempool improvements (including privacy), and the longer-term specter of obfuscation all mentioned.
