📽️ The High Court in Lira has dismissed with costs an election petition challenging the victory of Oyam South MP Patrick Ogwang Obura. Former independent candidate Queen Dorothy Amolo had sought nullification of the election, citing discrepancies in her name on ballot papers. Justice Fatuma Nanziri Bwanika ruled that Amolo’s portrait and campaign symbol were clearly identifiable, while the name discrepancy was an administrative error that did not affect the election outcome. Ogwang secured 29,353 votes against Amolo’s 3,516. Amolo says she intends to appeal. #NewsInBytes #VisionUpdates
