🏥CRITICAL CARE: Prioritizing revolutionary, more effective approach In a recent study, scientists @ifakarahealth and partners call for a shift in the approach to caring for critically ill patients, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in Kenya 🇰🇪and Tanzania 🇹🇿. 🔄They recommend a shift from the traditional focus on intensive care units (ICUs) to prioritize Essential Emergency and Critical Care (EECC), a move they believe could make intensive care less necessary or even eliminate the need for it.
