I think a lot of energy is focused on how to prepare ourselves to be with men, how to manage bad men or, at the most radical, how to challenge the system so we can be with men on better terms. That remains the default. The possibility of not being with men at all is rarely presented as a genuinely viable alternative.
This is not to say that it is a path we must pursue, but I do wonder how much it will stretch our political imagination if it were truly regarded as a tenable option.
