Check out @OpherV as he takes a break from fixing his mom's computer to talk about implementing complex #animation systems at @ReactNext #react #developers #html #devcommunity #javascript

Excited to share my new series - #UIMath I'm going to show & explain the math that makes #userinterface work! 😄 We're starting off with LERP and how to use it to calculate progress bars. In the future we'll get to more complex stuff. What would you like me to cover next? ⚙➗

#Hasoub is an NGO paving the way for the next generation of Arabs in #tech & we were so proud to sponsor their 2021 conference, “The Change from Within”. Our @OpherV shared how junior #devs can lift themselves & kickstart their careers in his talk “Go out there and Rock🤟”

Video is everywhere, but our CTO @hofshy has a face for radio, so he went on @barvazg to talk about how we’re making it just as fun and interactive as other interfaces. An interesting discussion (in Hebrew) about tech and the people who make it happen. open.spotify.com/episode/741…

Switching to a new laptop? Maybe a fancy MacBook Pro M1 Max from work? We got you covered. Here's all the stuff every developer needs to copy over but always forgets to: (Courtesy of @opherv who opted for a @Razer Blade instead of the Mac since he likes his win key to be toasty)

Downloads folder: 99% of it is email attachments, memes, executables, old drivers, and other assorted, unsorted trash. The other 1% is probably important and let’s be honest, you’re never going to sort it anyhow, so might as well migrate all of your junk with you now.

Most importantly, keep your old dev PC around at least for a couple of weeks before turning it back in. There’s bound to be something else you’ll need from it (even if it’s just a sense of nostalgia).

Handling technical debt is a lot like playing Tetris. Or gardening. Or cooking. (and also like none of those things). Great post by @shaiyallin
Software engineering is like nothing else we ever did before. Which is why all metaphors we use trying to make its problems understandable to non-engineers are doomed to fail. I wrote a short post attempting to do that anyway: shaiyallin.com/post/your-sof…

Speaking of things that kinda are and kinda aren't Tetris did you check out iFramily yet? codepen.io/asimen1/pen/qBqOZ…

Ok, so we have to wonder - the IT that has to maintain all these computer systems...are they a ⬜, 🔺 or a ⭕? How do the staff even open support requests if they can't talk to each other? Do they have a Squid Slack?

PostMessages are nice & all, but when writing an actual app the logic gets messy. Eko dev Asaf Menahem had had it, so he made #iFramily, an #opensource #js lib that simplifies all things #iFrame in a secure way. We went a little overboard with the demos github.com/EkoLabs/iframily

Text Chat Madness An example where iFramily is used for an interactive conversation between parents and children (and their frames). How will mom handle all these questions? You decide! codepen.io/asimen1/pen/KKNdg…

Crazy Tetris A novel (and somewhat strange) reimplementation of the classic #Tetris! Each frame runs its own self-contained Tetris instance. The twist? Instead of moving the pieces, move the iFrames themselves! codepen.io/asimen1/pen/qBqOZ…
