The State of Michigan allows this by the way. It should be common sense that out of state students should not be able to list their dormitory as a permanent residence and then use their student ID to vote, but look it up, it is allowed. “Nonprofits” such as “For Michigan” and Planned Parenthood collaborate with student groups on campus and their subsidiaries to finance voter registration tables for this very reason. Our own university, @UMich, has an entire initiative dedicated to using state and federal funds to do this (UMich Votes). It is no surprise that noncitizens were able to register to vote and actually cast ballots at our campus polling sites in 2024.

I just introduced a bill to terminate the Diversity Immigrant Visa Lottery — a program that gives 55,000 green cards a year to foreigners from third-world countries and is riddled with fraud and weak identity checks.
Congress cannot let liberal activist judges force the Trump Administration to keep this failed program alive. We need to shut it down for good.
Libs genuinely believe that the bureaucracy ought to be its own branch of government, more powerful than all the others and independent of any control by the elected executive
And they call it "democracy"
People should be talking about Arizona. Despite a poor midterm environment and the RGA refusing to spend a dime there, the vote by mail so far is neck and neck
If Elon wants secure elections in AZ, he should do what the national GOP didn't and spend big on Biggs

🔵 Sat: D+25.3

The electorate continues to slowly shift toward the GOP.
10/22 Florida update:
Democrats had a strong start to in-person early voting, but Republicans are now in the lead. Dems are still way ahead of 2024, but it's likely a mirage
Note that all of the counties which have not yet begun IPEV (in gray) voted for Trump

We finally have comprehensive Day 2 IPEV stats (Tuesday, 10/20) in from Texas.
58 counties had more in person votes cast Tuesday than on Monday. 57 of them were carried by Trump.
Bexar County (San Antonio) is the only Harris-won county on the list. It made it by default of a low Monday turnout and it probably surpassed it because of the northern portions of the county in TX23 (Republican) based on similar Democrat population turnout performance Tuesday. Currently, Bexar ranks 152nd out of 254 counties for its share of the 2024 presidential vote count already cast, and 145th for its share of 2022 TX Gov votes cast. Not what a blue wave wants to see when Harris, Dallas, Bexar, and Travis need to be leading the pack.
The people involved in these sorts of events belong in jail, not Congress
James talarico headlined a Pride event alongside an 11-year-old child drag queen named "Kween Kee Kee."
One attendee posted video of the young boy doing the splits.
Another performance was by an adult man who goes by the raunchy name "Sedonya Face."
The event touted more than 30 kids in attendance. #TXsen

America won.
Iran lost.
So the US media has stopped caring.
Middle East oil flows averaged more than 24 million barrels per day (BPD) in the week through October 18th, above the prewar average of 23.3 million BPD, according to Kpler ship tracking data reported by The Wall Street Journal.
To accomplish this, tankers load inside the Persian Gulf and run through the Strait of Hormuz, often with their automatic identification system (AIS) off and under U.S. air cover along Oman’s coast, then transfer cargo to other ships near Oman before returning. That route moved about 14 million barrels a day, or 82% of prewar levels, in preliminary figures. Pipelines across Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other alternative routes carry the rest of the regional total, or up to 10 million BPD. Kpler estimates about 40% of non Iranian Gulf crude oil bypassed the strait in September, up from 17% before the war.
The Journal counts about 30 attacks on ships this month. Brent crude was around $108 a barrel yesterday.

This is a pretty big deal. Activating an incentive mechanism is how civil rights law got entrenched. Lawsuits vs employers = cash cow that punishes enemies and rewards friends.
So now we have an incentive mechanism for the dismantling of the administrative state.
🚨 #BREAKING: Trump confirms the government will pay Nick Shirley $4,000,000,000.00 if he uncovers $400B more in fraud.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Trump cited $400B as a hypothetical example of a 1% reward for any whistleblower, not a confirmed $4B payment to Nick Shirley. The official DOJ program caps rewards at $30,000 per tip; Shirley received a $10,000 check.

I personally know people who have been been subject to more than a dozen years of cancelations, deplatformings, firings, doxxings, and even state persecution at the hands of their own government because of the anti-Progressive political views they espouse.
Meanwhile, the most Left-wing people in the country are totally unafraid of blasting their unsolicited opinions in public, even when it includes wishing death upon their neighbors for having a Trump sign in their yard or wearing a MAGA hat.
This has been going on for literally decades, and when it's not temporarily a point of controversy, the Left will brag about the iron grip they hold over American culture and society. It's a selling point about how they've conquered this country.
These people have done their best to essentially criminalize all opposition to their Progressive ideology, and you want to tell me that Democrats are somehow the victim here when it comes to the breakdown in decorum and discourse?
You created this. Everything the American Right has become is a direct response to the actions you and those like you have engaged in for the better part of 30 years.
Replying to @ChristianHeiens
You, someone with “Postliberal Reactionary” in their bio, cannot seriously be acting like *this* is the death of discourse. Maybe consider what twice-electing a crook & conman has done. Maybe consider how your whole movement has acted the past 2 years.

One of the better “gotchas” I’ve seen. Specifically damaging to liberals because the professor is getting culture and IQ mogged by the person he wants to portray as a dumb hick
College professor left completely stumped after @KaiSchwemmer started talking in Spanish after the professor said he welcomed mass migration.
Schwemmer: Would it be an issue if every city spoke a different language?
Professor: No.
Schwemmer: "Entonces sería bastante difícil si estuviéramos hablando, entendernos, porque nosotros no podemos entender lo que estamos diciendo y no podemos alcanzar tener respeto mutuo."
Brilliant.
The false narratives Wedgewood created likely drove both parties (but especially republicans) to invest millions into states that ought not be competitive

Why is seemingly every Rogers event courting black voters in Detroit?
This may help White moderates feel better about it not being "racist" to reject AES, but the way to win is by getting Trump-level White working class turnout, not pandering to those least likely to vote red
