Iran’s IRGC Navy says two oil tankers carrying over 4.5 million barrels of crude struck naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
Both vessels reportedly suffered explosions and fires, lost engine power, and were abandoned by their crews.

Russia has begun using a new cruise missile to attack Ukraine, known as the "Filin" cruise missile.
This new ground-launched missile has a maximum speed of up to 800 km/h, a maximum altitude of 6 km, and a flight range of 600-1200 km. It is 3.5 metres in length and has a wingspan of 3 metres.
It's warhead weighs either 50 or 100 kg, and can be equipped with fragmentation-high-explosive, penetrating, and thermobaric warheads.
This was likely that missile that was mixed up with Geran-5 jet-drones on October 16, that I reported as flying at speeds of 700-800 km/h towards western Ukraine.
Some of the Russian Geran-5 jet-drones used to target western Ukraine today were recorded flying at speeds of 700-800 km/h, indicating Russia may have upgraded them or is using a new type of drone-missile.
The Geran-5 previously had a max speed of 600 km/h. An increase to 800 km/h would effectively put it on par with some of Russia's air-launched cruise missiles.

NBC: DOHA — The U.S. military has quietly been scaling back its troop presence at bases across the Middle East in recent days, and the State Department is ordering a further reduction in staff at multiple diplomatic posts in the region, according to two U.S. officials and two people familiar with the matter.
The reduction of American forces and diplomatic personnel is similar to drawdowns at bases and embassies that the Pentagon and State Department initiated around the start of the war with Iran in February, the sources said. They said the moves are in response to ongoing threats in the region, including from Iran.

Intense fighter jet activity is currently being reported over Iraq, specifically near the border with Iran, where IRIAF aircraft are also operating.
The Israeli Air Force is conducting joint attack simulations with the USAF, in fact, such activity has been reported over Syria and Iraq for about two weeks now, much like in the weeks leading up to February 28th.
