Over Summer 2025 & 2026 we funded Summer Research Studentships for undergraduate & taught postgraduate students undertaking short-term projects.
We were thrilled to welcome all funded students to UCL this week & learn about their projects & the research we supported.

Great second day at the BBSRC Sparking Innovation Conference in Leicester.
Really valuable conversations, new connections, and plenty of inspiring insights from across the bioscience innovation community.
Looking forward to building on these discussions beyond the conference.
Just wrapped Day 1 at the BBSRC #SparkingInnovation2026 conference!
Highlights included the incredible pitches and discussions on scaling bioscience research for real-world impact. Great to connect with so many innovators today.
Can’t wait for Day 2 tomorrow! @BBSRC
Last week we hosted our IP for Engineering Biology Start‑ups workshop!
Huge thanks to Phillip Price from Dehns for sharing insights on patents, trade secrets, and IP strategies.
