ALT Slide 3: Text reads- 2. School and the education system can be traumatic when you are autistic. Being in school can be really overwhelming for an autistic person. Schools can be overwhelming sensory-wise and full of unspoken rules. There are also the academic demands and unpredictable nature of the school day. It can be a fight to access support and too often, our needs are not met. It is time for an education system which values all types of minds.
