It was Committee Stage of the Crown Estate Bill this week in the Lords. I have an amendment down to devolve the Crown Estate to Wales. Report Stage will take place on November 5th. Here’s a snapshot of the debate on the amendment:

And one interviewee in particular, @ElynStephens, said something that stuck with me, which I think captures why volunteering is so important, and why things like #VolunteersWeek are so necessary:

During the past weeks, I've interviewed some of my @OUCymru colleagues about the volunteering they do outside of work, in order to write a series of new @OUFreeLearning resources about public service volunteering. Here's what I learned... #VolunteersWeek 🧵

🩸While many schools, public buildings, and businesses offer free period products, they are often locked away This must change. Scotland and Northern Ireland have already passed laws making free period products a legal right. It's time for the @WelshGovernment to do the same.

Those criticising #Seneddreform & increase in MSs might want to train their sights on @HouseofCommons where MPs have been sent home early on several occasions recently due to lack of business. Equally astonishing is more than 100 MPs have no committee or other roles to fulfil.
