Replying to @GeorgeRussell63
George, you have all of the qualities it takes to meet your dreams. But this year was not your year for many reasons outside of purely your driving skills. Many of us who enjoy and understand the sport of Formula One can see that. Arguably the two most exciting pieces of on-track action this year involved you. Battling with Kimi at Canada, where alas your car gave out as you were leading and holding off Max at Baku, taking the win after consistent pressure. Take heart, whenever the Red Bull demonstrated winning pace, you were the only driver able to hold Max off when he had arguably the faster package. Take courage in that, when the tough mindset is necessary, you have all of the elements it requires to win. Sometimes the car or other factors blur what other more fickle fans may perceive, but those fans that know and understand the politics of the sport will always support you, share every minute of the ups, downs and frustrations. In the end, this makes the champagne of victory, even sweeter. Now relax, refocus and enjoy the driving, faith in yourself and let the chips fall where they may.

No hace nada mal. No depende de él. ¿Cómo evaluamos pilotos entonces?

sky italia spent months undermining george russell and now toto wolff is celebrating with them like they haven’t spent the season tearing him down… wow the hypocrisy is fucking unbelievable. don’t tell me george is treated as an equal at mercedes

The most frustrating thing about how @MercedesAMGF1 has dealt with @GeorgeRussell63’s car issues this season, specifically regarding the deployment and derating issues, is that in a straight line, it becomes a driver safety issue. While George has had plenty of underlying issues with his PU’s and SOC this season mostly subtle and not obvious to the naked eye, the most flagrant occurrences in Belgium and Mexico have resulted in him being involved in contact/accidents with another car, being placed in a position he should’ve never found himself if the car was properly working. That is what the team, Toto, Shov, Marcus, Bono, etc. have to really swallow and accept and live with. I hope they don’t step wrong next year. The sense of urgency and duty of care should be foundational for driver safety concerns, and ideally extend to equal cars and strategies and reliability in both garages. George simply must demand more from the people charged with his safety and success.

Finally a good article! "Underrated, professional and off the track a likeable guy, Russell has the qualities to become an F1 world champion and he knows it. This season he was simply not given the opportunity to fight for it."

“he should’ve stayed to celebrate with him” you all are dense and lack empathy, plus the other guy never showed up for him anyway, didn’t even congratulate the grand slam so yeah! I think he can fuck off if he wants

I’ve been a @GeorgeRussell63 fan since he was an F1 rookie, because of his grit and resilience and underdog status (best junior sat at the worst team). I started being a @MercedesAMGF1 fan because I truly admired their operational dedication to equality and excellence in execution across the board. This season has proven to me that Mercedes no longer exists. And it is not because of theories or conspiracies, it is because I see for a fact that one driver (without putting a step wrong, to his credit) has had 1 car related issues all season, and my driver has had car related issues in all but 2 weekends this season, with no explanation, no transparency, and no real sense of urgency or duty of care to figure out why. Mercedes are going to have a WCC and WDC again, but they are not operating at the same capacity they used to prior.

george russell post race interviews are sometimes just “yeah the team wanted me to do the kill yourself and die strategy but i suggested a different one. we were able to compromise and do mine, luckily. very glad for the team’s flexibility. i still can’t drive though.”

this is so heartbreaking i hope he’ll be able to get through this😢💔

hmmmm I guess it might be because Russell’s dad doesn’t have a junior GT racing team that he wants to expand by using his own name and then marketing it as “helping young drivers get a chance🥰” but it might just be me
Notice how Russell already has earned so much more money than him yet has not said a word about creating something like this Yet the 63's are somehow mad at this

Lewis Hamilton was asked about his thoughts on the gap between George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, and he answered in the most classy way, as always 👏🏽 "Um, Imean, I don't really know what the challenges have been from... I'm not in the team, so. Um, I do know he's had a lot, a lot of problems, a lot more or most of the problems have been on George's car this season. Um, and so I think it's been very, very challenging for him. Whereas Kimi's kind of had a much more simple, in respect to kind of issues with the car through the year. But, um, and then he's also delivered just when every single weekend. So, um, I think George had a really good pace, particularly at the beginning. Um, but it's like a couple steps forward and a couple, you know, a step back. So, I mean, I don't really know why the gap has is as big as it is. But, um, I'm sure he'll bounce back. Each weekend, he comes back and gets his best"
