We send our heartfelt congratulations and greetings in solidarity to the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) on its historic victory.
In April and May of this year, the Japanese Communist Party (JCP) and DSA met twice, in New York and Chicago, and reaffirmed our commitment to working together in solidarity. I was deeply moved by DSA’s efforts to address the urgent needs of people across the United States and to build international solidarity for peace, as well as by its program’s call to end the U.S. war machine.
By openly championing socialism, DSA helped elect what will be the largest bloc of socialist lawmakers in U.S. congressional history. This achievement is a tremendous source of encouragement to all those around the world working for peace, progress, and socialism.
We, too, are determined to make great strides. Let us strengthen our friendship and deepen our solidarity across the Pacific!

Хочу однажды испытать те же эмоции, что сейчас испытывают демократы из-за синего Техаса.
Я обязательно доживу до победы либералов на выборах в России...

There is a very real, understandable impulse to just roll one's eyes and say "well Democrats aren't going to do anything anyway" but the stakes for human lives are just too high for that. I genuinely think total cynicism can be just as self-defeating as libbed out naïveté. This is a generational mandate for real change and we have to demand/require that our representatives actually do something with it
With these midterm election results, Democrats have a mandate to fight Trump and deliver for the working class. This is what they should do. theintercept.com/2026/11/04/…

If you are a communist, then you take the actual energy people have for whatever small victory and you relate it to a path forward for further political invention. The energy they have for the current moment has to be extended, not extinguished with "realism".

Big agree I'd consider myself a socialist, and it's so important to meet people where they are and especially don't talk down to people. Not only does this help people join your side, but it's also nice not to be a dick to people for no reason. Propaganda is crazy be patient

LGBTIQ+ people do not want a special life but an ordinary one: To hold their partner’s hand in public, introduce someone as their husband or wife, raise a family, travel together, and grow old without fear. We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for the same freedom, happiness, and security that everyone else is allowed to live.

Canada just lit up Niagara Falls Blue showing their solidarity with Democrats and it feels so good to know that they stand with us.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Niagara Falls was lit teal on Nov 3rd for Alzheimer awareness, as per their illumination schedule.

Over 50 DSA victories tonight prove socialism can win in the U.S.
Workers deserve more and a reality where all of us live with dignity and hope is closer than we think.
The job's not done, though. Tomorrow, we continue organizing, fighting, and winning for the working class!

Democrats will now control the House and Senate and be able to hold Trump accountable. That's great.
At a time of massive income and wealth inequality, we must do more. We must aggressively fight for working families.
No more excuses.

It's not just Democrats winning: it's fresh, younger, more populist Dems. I really hope they become the face of the Party - now.

Texas is a really big place. It has the evil people it’s known for but it has streets paved with rainbows and people who fight for each others rights too. Almost everyone I’ve ever loved lives in Texas, and they make me better.
