The thing with most of these "football Twitter, bantering other club" debates is that I'm not entirely serious mostly, I'm just "Twittering" and defending my club
Ask me anything, and I'll give an actual, honest take on it. Can be a player, event, or something outside football
Any time a player gets good and gets noticed but then doesn't score a goal in a big game, people come out with ridiculous takes like this
Lamine Yamal was getting best itw shouts with 9 goals in a season purely because he turned up in the big games
Screenshot from the 92nd minute and even in this video he shares a screenshot that shows xG was pretty even 😭😭
Yeah before this, Isak and Barcola were incredibly threatening
Not really spoke about the game on here but thought it was pretty incredible how Arteta managed phases of the game, they got the goal early after a lot of end to end chances, then adapted to reduce the space for Gakpo/Barcola/Isak - they had one 4v3 on the break and Arteta shut up shop. Arsenal dont have that same pace & power on the break as Liverpool, so he changed, reduced the space and got his players in shorter spaces where they could physically dominate esp in the centre & out wide. He’s truly an incredible manager, man.
I love when teams realise we're so crap by going through a game not creating one good chance against us and losing
Also don't know why VAR didn't give Liverpool that penalty btw. Nyoni they couldn't do much about, but it was a clear and obvious error for the Timber shirt pull on Isak
I know they pressured us but I watched the whole thing without commentary or reading any takes on twitter, and I did think we were overall slightly the better team. Not necessarily enough to say "we deserved to win", but knowing a draw was fair but a win was more fair yhan a loss
Tzolis to Ødegaard and Noni to Timber. 2 instances of being just off with the ball meaning a tap-in wasn't converted
It took him almost 50 minutes, but Ødegaard really stepped up today. When he got what he was doing right, we stopped losing all control and we actually got back on top
Declan Rice was fantastic throughout the game. I thought Myles did well when he came on
After we should've gone 2-0 up, they went super aggressive and put us under immense pressure but we did well to hold out
Declan Rice, as expected, best player on the pitch
Ref also gave them a corner that wasn't and a goal kick that should've been a corner and somehow Nyoni hasn't even got a yellow, let alone a red
But we got lucky that Isak didn't go down cos that should've been a penalty
On a different day, this game is 2-2 with us having conceded a penalty and Liverpool being down to 10
Crazy half of football
EVERY.
SINGLE.
GAME.
This is an absolute generational run of poor finishing. Renee needs to start k***ing some of these players
If we're going off available, then I'm going off form and Gakpo LW, Barcola RW, Araujo RB and Jacquet over Van Dijk
