Life as of late 🫶🏻 launched a new three year induction program for new teachers, began my tenure as a board member for National Youth Advocate Program, spoke on a panel exploring teacher leadership, and all of the Halloween fun with my girlies
The plane never reached a reasonable temperature, even after take off @FlyFrontier. We paid $1200 for a flight that put people in danger and our concerns were not only ignored, staff mocked us. This multimillion dollar company did not blink twice at putting children at risk.
My daughters were soaked in sweat and screaming. @FlyFrontier I genuinely feared for their safety. We finally landed at LGA more than 5 hours late.
My flight was Hell. @flyfrontier held my two toddlers and me on the tarmac for 2+ hours without AC. Cabin temps recorded 92 degrees on passengers’ phones. Flight attendants refused to give out water due to “policy.” “We’re hot just like you” was the apparent company line.
This has been an epic summer… our new middle school will open in less than 2 weeks, executed a 2 day (7 distinct events) New Teacher Orientation for more than 1100 educators, and navigated an unprecedented charter authorization cycle. Thank you @ua_edreform for preparing me!!!
Incredibly proud of my team! New Teacher Orientation 2026 is our best year yet! 30 wraparound service partners, two days of professional learning, and the unofficial kickoff for Dr. Alexandra Estrella’s tenure. atlantanewsfirst.com/2026/07…
I am honored to have been named to the Board of Directors of the National Youth Advocate Program! NYAP supports at-risk youth and unaccompanied minors across a continuum of services, all in an effort to ensure every child can live safely and successfully within their community.
It is a privilege to lead our district’s charter authorization work… stay tuned for Thursday night’s vote on this review cycle

Just one day after ending "The Late Show" on CBS, Stephen Colbert returned to TV — to host a public access show with rocker Jack White in Monroe, Michigan.
Appearances by Jeff Daniels, Eminem and Steve Buscemi.
Our district’s lone but mighty charter school gave me this generous (and undeserved!) gift at yesterday’s graduation ceremony. I am truly touched - it has been a year of big changes in the GA charter authorizing space, and they have been gracious partners throughout it all.
Well isn’t that convenient… #teamciara #summerhouse
A great Friday! Visited our district’s charter school - 20 years of exceeding district expectations. News from DC that our small but mighty team was awarded 500k for a school-based health center. And the weather is sublime ❤️
