Yesterday, U.S. Attorney Scott Bradford joined law enforcement partners at @ICEgov to transfer Rajinder Kumar, an illegal alien from India, to state custody to face prosecution in connection with the deaths of a newly married Oregon couple. “Those who commit crimes against U.S. citizens will be held accountable in our courts,” said Bradford. “I appreciate ICE’s partnership in facilitating the transfer of this defendant to Deschutes County, where he will stand trial for the deaths of Billy and Jenny Carter. A home was fully engulfed in flames as a car drives through Spokane, Washington, on Saturday as crews battle massive, fast-moving wildfires. At least 600 homes, businesses and other buildings have been destroyed since the Old Trails Fire started around noon on Saturday.
