This article is so important. The overpolicing of Black medical students (which starts in primary ed!) is devastating to the possibility of a diverse clinical workforce and thus, equitable care for patients.
Black residents face higher rates of remedial interventions and dismissal than do their White counterparts. Such overpolicing affects the mental health of trainees as well as their careers. Read the full Perspective: nej.md/46bnrMz
