@diamondkt3 just gave a fabulous dissertation defense! Way to go! If you missed it: (1) #groundwater in West Hawai'i is complex (2) newer and older precip. data bracket groundwater composition (3) salinity corrections need local end-members (4) community involvement is crucial!

I have awful hand eczema that is of course even worse when it's dry and cold - I use this every night with cotton gloves. The thicker and gloopier the better at keeping in moisture. Good luck!!
Crazy juxtaposition of the very still #BeebeLake and the rushing falls below after the Nor'easter this week ... With a rainbow to boot! @Cornell #ithaca #autumn

Home to splash in the best fall puddles, have dinner, and read books about trucks. Now for laundry and a little more work (lightning talk tomorrow, draft of co-authored paper to go over, etc.) Then tea, zone out time, and zzzzzzzz! Bye y'all! #DayOfScience #ScienceAThon

And bye bye work building, I'm off to the tip top north end of campus, where sweet toddler awaits at his amazing child care center!

Like Belle with shelves of rocks instead of books. (But I would take that library any day, too!) Searching for powders of some samples I'm polishing, to use for XRD. I guess searching for rocks is today's theme... #DayOfScience #ScienceAThon

Searching for specific thin sections in someone else's collections. Cool, but frustrating! #DayOfScience #ScienceAThon
