@BBCRadio3 One of the highlights of Verdi’s requiem is that powerful, apocalyptic Dies Irae - the day of wrath. The Dies Irae from the Latin Mass also makes a surprising ( or perhaps not) guest appearance in the prologue to “Sweeney Todd” by the late great Stephen Sondheim.
