🚨 A MAJOR ECONOMIC SHOCK COULD BE COMING FOR THE UK.
Government debt has crossed ÂŁ3 TRILLION($4 trillion) for the first time, while inflation jumped to 3.5%, its highest level in almost a year.
Motor fuel prices surged 29.8% year-over-year in September, and markets are now pricing in TWO Bank of England rate hikes before year-end.
Meanwhile, the government borrowed ÂŁ24.5 billion in September alone, while debt interest payments jumped nearly 17% from a year earlier to almost ÂŁ11 billion that month.
If the Bank of England raises rates, mortgages and business loans could get more expensive, putting further pressure on an already weak economy.
If it cuts rates, inflation could become even harder to control, especially with energy prices already surging.
Either way, Britain faces the risk of higher prices, weaker growth and more pressure on its massive debt burden.

Iran may now be facing a new threat from Ukrainian forces operating near its borders.
According to Iran's Tasnim Ukraine has deployed drone units equipped with micro-drones across several countries surrounding Iran, including Iraq's Kurdistan region, where thousands of micro-drones have been deployed near the Iranian border.
Iran is aware of the countries hosting Ukrainian forces and drones, but says they will be disclosed at an appropriate time.
There have already been reports of Ukrainian personnel operating in the Middle East to train local groups in drone warfare.

Micron, $MU, and Nvidia, $NVDA are expected to account for 36% of the S&P 500’s earnings growth in Q3 2026 earnings season.
This comes as $MU and $NVDA are expected to contribute +5.2 and +4.6 percentage points to the index’s +27% YoY earnings growth, respectively.
Meanwhile, the next 8 top contributors are projected to add +8.2 percentage points, accounting for ~30% of the estimated S&P 500’s net income growth.
Then, the remaining 490 stocks are set to contribute just +9.2 percentage points, representing 34% of the index’s projected earnings growth.
Excluding those top 10 contributors, earnings growth is estimated to decline -11% YoY in Q3.
Never in history have we witnessed market concentration like this.

Germany’s Chancellor Merz:
My biggest concern at the moment is not our economy, is not the European Union, is not America, is not China.
My biggest concern is the impact of Russia on our society and how they are succeeding in destabilizing our societies.
For the first time, the Bundeswehr has rated the risk of Russian sabotage against its own troops and facilities as "significant," the second-highest level on its internal scale.
Behind the shift: a crashed drone carrying highly explosive material, found in mid-September just metres from an aircraft at Wunstorf airbase in Lower Saxony. BKA technical analysis indicates it may have been lying near the base for roughly two years. Investigators believe the target was military aircraft, not civilian ones.
The assessment says Moscow almost certainly has the capability and very likely a growing intent to hit German military sites and Ukrainian personnel in Germany.

🚨 UPDATE: Sec. Marco Rubio just dropped this truth nuke on Zelensky acting ungrateful
"If it were not for the assistance of the US, there would be no Ukraine right now. Ukraine as a sovereign state would NOT EXIST."
"Let's be VERY CLEAR. There would be NO UKRAINE today were it not for the assistance of the United States."
The bottom line is the BILLIONS of American dollars, "going back to the Biden administration" and continuing under Trump
And frankly, maybe we shouldn't have kept it going.
They still get Starshield and they get intel sharing. Zelensky needs to end the war.
And Rubio says the days of apologizing are over: "We're no longer going to be defensive about this topic."
MAKE A DEAL. Zelensky seems to be banking on Democrat wins to fund Ukraine endlessly, but Trump is still president for 2+ years!

🇵🇹 Portugal is moving to END free healthcare access for irregular migrants and foreign non-residents.
Parliament approved a government-backed bill 151–79 at its first legislative stage.
It would require foreign non-residents to pay for treatment in Portugal's public health system or provide proof of insurance, while preserving access to urgent care.
Government parties argue taxpayers shouldn't be left with unpaid bills when people travel to Portugal specifically for treatment.
The measure isn't law yet, it still needs committee review and a final parliamentary vote.

Renewed US and Israeli strikes on Iran in the coming weeks are “not an unreasonable scenario,” the Financial Times reported on Wednesday, citing a person familiar with Israeli military planning.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged the military to prepare a new major offensive against Iran earlier this month, including strikes on nuclear facilities, the report said, citing three people familiar with the plans.
The proposed multi-day campaign, planned for the weekend of October 10, did not go ahead after US President Donald Trump opposed restarting the conflict before the US midterm elections on November 3, the sources told the FT.
One person familiar with the planning said: “There will either be a deal or an attack.”
White House deputy spokesperson Anna Kelly told the FT that “the United States will not be attacking Iran at any time prior to the midterm elections.”
She also said that US efforts to blockade Iranian ports and facilitate oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz were succeeding.

Japan and the US are running one of their largest drills near Taiwan. China showed up uninvited in the air, at sea, and 1,500 km away.
Keen Sword 27 (Oct 19–29) involves ~45,000 Japanese and ~12,000 US personnel, plus forces from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and the Philippines. The focus is defending Japan’s southwest islands and rehearsing responses for a Taiwan contingency.
Japan is deploying its new long-range Type-25 missiles. The US put its NMESIS anti-ship launcher on Yonaguni Island, ~110 km from Taiwan.
On day one, Japan scrambled fighters after PLA reconnaissance drones (BZK-005 and TB-001) and a Y-9 intelligence aircraft flew through the Miyako Strait and past Yonaguni into the Pacific. Two Chinese spy ships, a destroyer, and a large support vessel also moved through nearby straits into the Pacific.
The next day, China’s Southern Theater Command said the USS Charleston “illegally intruded” near Sabina Shoal in the South China Sea and claimed it tracked the ship. The Philippines rejected that, saying no country can demand permission for lawful transit in international waters.
While the US and its allies rehearse, Beijing makes sure everyone knows it’s watching.

Iran says Iraq failed to give notice over sudden closure of key border crossing
——
Iraq failed to formally notify Iran before shutting down the strategic Al-Sheeb border terminal linking Iraq’s southeastern Maysan province with Iran’s Khuzestan province, Iranian Interior Ministry spokesperson Ali Zeinivand told reporters today.
According to Al Jazeera, Zeinivand stated that under bilateral agreements, Iraq is legally obligated to give prior notice if it intends to close shared border crossings for extended periods, noting that no formal notification was provided regarding the Chazabeh terminal—the Iranian designation for Al-Sheeb.
The sudden shutdown took effect at 6:00 am following direct directives from Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi. According to Iraqi security officials, Baghdad ordered the complete closure to passengers, vehicles, and commercial cargo until further notice to review security arrangements and install advanced scanning equipment aimed at curbing cross-border smuggling.
Al-Sheeb serves as a vital economic and transit hub between the two nations, handling heavy commercial traffic in food supplies and construction materials alongside millions of Iranian pilgrims traveling to holy sites in Najaf and Karbala.
Iraqi sources indicated that security reviews are underway and additional border crossings with Iran may face gradual temporary closures in the coming days as Baghdad reassesses security measures along its eastern border.
