Whenever I have a viral post (my definition is >250K views), I feel some kind of weird obligation to use that opportunity to warn and educate more people. Deep down, I know new followers can’t handle the truth and they’re gone before getting to the TLDR. But here goes:
COVID causes permanent brain damage and immune system dysfunction. It’s why everyone’s sick.
Public messaging has downplayed COVID’s risks because corporations, employers, and politicians benefit from inaction. Protecting people costs money, and they’d rather you stay sick than force change.
The problem is that life is not sustainable from a pathogen that does this kind of destruction. Repeat infections do cumulative damage.
People are already struggling with brain fog and exhaustion, and it’s only getting worse. The systems we rely on won’t hold when so many are mentally and physically deteriorating.
But you don’t have to play along. Take control: wear a respirator, filter your air, push for clean indoor air standards.
Sharing is caring.
Why should you protect your body and brain? Read my published Letter to Mensa.

The artwork has been modified because it’s #longcovidawareness month. ME/CFS is a different condition but many people with Long Covid have been diagnosed as having ME/CFS. Covid causes Long Covid. ME/CFS can be caused by all sorts of things.
Recognizing this distinction is important to the LC Community I advocate for, but it in no way is meant to diminish the decades of dismissiveness those with ME/CFS have faced.
The artwork now includes both. Let’s push for research and treatments for both!

"Patients suffering from COVID-19 have been found to exhibit dementia-related biomarkers..
The findings of this study suggest a potential link between mild-to-moderate SARS-CoV-2 infection and the initiation or acceleration of brain β-amyloid pathology, and hint at the possibility of an increased future incidence of Alzheimer’s disease subsequent to the COVID-19 pandemic."
Remember this, as possible.

In 2020 I claimed covid infections and reinfections would cause T cell exhaustion and harm to T cells
Now, to my minimal surprise, the head of the american association of immunology has published the very hypothesis disparaged and called nonsense below; that covid harms the immune systems T cells and exhausts them.
I faced relentless attacks from many individuals. After two years of warning about immune harm and publishing opinions, my claim landed on the desk of Vincent Raccaniello, supposed “worlds virology professor” (a pretentious title) who dismissed it as Twitter nonsense in 2022
Vincent Rajkumar, the editor of blood, claimed it was nonsense.
Then Carlos Del Rio, the medical advisor to entities in the airline industry, said I could not even call myself an immunologist.
The abuse of me and my reputation continued.
Zeynep Tufekci, an editor at the new York times called me names and went as far as calling me crazy, saying “dolphins” whispered my opinions to me on covid’s immune harm.
She quotes, “Exhaustion? Not a thing.”
I faced utter disrespect and maliciousness.
“Someone” threatened a New York Times opinion editorial to the National Institutes of Health, where I was working at the time, claiming that I was a crank eroding trust in science for claiming covid harms the immune system. This is documented in emails.
They also went after Johns Hopkins. I was told I was no longer permitted to publish such opinions after the Dean was intimidated.
I hope they enjoy their reward. The reward is written testimony by their own hand of their wrongness to be displayed for all time on a matter of such great importance.
Their opinion wasn’t worthless, but rather it was the opposite of helpful. It was harmful. All their expertise only made the impact of an incorrect opinion greater.
I sacrificed career prospects and happiness. For some time, every Professor that wanted to downplay immunological harm from covid would virtue signal by attacking me. I say again, they say the T cells will save us, but who will save the t cells?

Hey, @nytimes - incase I don't hear back from you...
How things have been the past 5 years 👇
In 2019, my life was on a great trajectory.
I used to be a fit husband and father who co-founded a business and felt fulfilled by my daily attempts at giving my best to life.
Now, in 2025, after being disabled for well over a year and having fought Long COVID for a solid year before becoming disabled, my best isn't good enough.
The SARS-CoV-2 virus changed my life permanently.
An acute COVID-19 infection changed my life permanently.
Chronic Long COVID has changed my life permanently.
I am now on disability.
I no longer work.
Every day is the hardest day of my life.
I'm not the husband I want to be.
I'm not the father I want to be.
I take endless amounts of pills, powders, liquids, and bars.
I see doctors weekly.
I've tried everything I've come across to feel better.
I have 29 abnormal biomarkers out of range.
I have a handful of issues, disorders, and/or conditions under Long COVID - with more cropping up as time passes.
Neurological and vascular issues causing heart pain, palpitations and heart rate reaching over 200 BPM non-aerobic, brain issues creating daily memory loss, processing trouble, and migraines, as well as full body neuropathy including stabbing pains, burning pains, and weakness.
I am now immunocompromised and my latest labs point to autoimmune disease.
The latest research says Long COVID is a neurological autoimmune disease.
And Long COVID is a new acquired immune deficiency syndrome.
Having two children in public school where illness is rampant contributes to my decline.
Their forced infection and it's impact on the larger community, including myself, is a civil rights violation, disability rights violation, and more broadly - a human rights violation.
My life will never be the same.
If I'm incredibly fortunate, I will be able to regain some of what I have lost, but there are no treatments so time is not on my side.
I am not unique.
There are millions just like me.
It's up to organizations like yours to share our story.
It's up to each and every one of us to fight for a better world.
This way of life isn't sustainable, but I will fight until my end - and hope to inspire others so that the future, my children and yours, live in a time when action creates the change that is so desperately needed.

Love the Look Studios sent me some updated fabric covers for 3M Aura N95 respirators.
The updated pattern worked very well for me when I tested it out at a wedding, covering the mask extremely well and staying out of my eyes. I wore it over a 3M 9210+ which has white braided elastic straps.
The 3M Aura is a very breathable mask to begin with, and not much affected by the cloth cover. There is still a little bit of exhaled air that is redirected back towards my eyes from under the cover rather than going through the cover fabric. So, the 3M Aura is still a bit more comfortable to wear without the cover, but I'm willing to take the trade off for special occasions.
I have tested the earlier, almost identical, design with a PortaCount mask fit testing machine and a pressure meter.
In my case, the fabric covered did not affect fit or filtration much and I still passed a fit test. Breathability was reduced a little bit, by about 12% or so. So there is a trade-off. However, many n95s are much less breathable on their own than this combination of a 3M Aura and these covers. YMMV since mask fit is very individual.
Here's a link to the original testing I did with the earlier version of these same fabric covers:

Dead on Arrival: The Signals We’re Ignoring… Again
In NYC, when someone dies at home, a green flier appears on the door—a quiet but grim signal of loss. The medical term? Dead on arrival.
Another signal? Searches for "refrigerator trucks" are rising again. Last time they peaked was 2020, when NYC ran out of mortuary capacity.
Meanwhile:
➡️ NYC hospitals are now subtyping for H5N1.
➡️ The city is experiencing its worst flu season since 1997.
➡️ Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) outpatient visits last week hit 13.6%—the second highest ever recorded in NYC’s 2010-2025 dataset.
➡️ The only time it was worse? First week of April 2020 (14.2%).
We’ve seen these warning signs before.
Are we paying attention this time?

COVID is the great accelerator of our time.
It speeds up the aging process, bringing about disability that would have taken decades to develop in a matter of years or even months.
Now the US is drowning in disability and nobody is connecting the dots back to the cause.
In 2021, a report warned the system would collapse if even a few million Americans were disabled by Covid & filed for benefits.
No funding was allocated.
The U.S. has reported RECORD disability for several years now. The U.S. reported a stunning 43% increase in cognitive disabilities since 2019. Tens of millions of Americans are newly disabled.
