🧵 (1/3) The Committee visited Alloa this week to speak with community organisations, local charities and small businesses about their experiences of #CommunityWealthBuilding. This approach has the potential to grow and retain wealth within a local economy.

ALT MSPs Colin Smyth and Gordon McDonald, and a Scottish Parliament staff member, are talking to the development officer at Alloa Hub - a community-owned and run facility providing services that benefit the residents and businesses of Clackmannanshire. They are being shown a photograph of the building before Alloa Hub took it over.

Today I’m joining local MSPs in Cumbernauld for the next regional visit to mark @ScotParl’s 25th anniversary.
We’re keen to hear from the community about how we can best represent the people in Central Scotland. Scotland’s Parliament belongs to its people and it’s vital their voices are heard and help shape Parliament’s future.
