I earn £100 grand a year. I have a detached house. 2 cars and my wife is a full time home maker. I can just about afford this. I probably couldn’t afford the house I own if I was buying for the first time today. My salary puts me in the top 5% of earners in the UK. Top 5% to have a similar standard of living to Homer Simpson. That is a disgrace. We have a flatter salary distribution than Soviet Russia and the highest taxes and borrowing costs we’ve seen in generations. Success is almost impossible because our tax system means hard work makes you a stressed out tax cow, not wealthy and certainly not free. We need something radical. Less state. More family. Less handouts. More reward for risk. Instead. Tomorrow, Labour will offer another batch of policies which will send one message to aspirational Brits: why bother.
I read a piece in the FT this week about the price of being middle class in Britain now and it said a couple earning £436,000 combined take home £216,000. That’s a crazy amount of tax, and it doesn't include VAT on purchases, council tax, stamp duty or other taxes (I think does include pension contributions). I can’t stop thinking about it.

I can’t think of a more repulsive character ostensibly on the Right than Habib, a charmless pathological liar and backstabber who’d burn any bridge and reverse any position he held to avenge a perceived slight to his honour. Inshallah he doubles down, gets bankrupted and deported
In an interview with Paul Thorpe broadcast on 11 May 2026, I alleged that Mr Harborne had fixed the 2019 General Election result by conspiring with the then Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, and the then leader of the Brexit Party, Nigel Farage, to ensure a majority for Mr Johnson's party by agreeing to pay each of them £1 million, which he duly did in November 2022, in return for the Brexit Party standing down all 317 of its candidates for Conservative-held seats. I made that allegation in reliance on information I had been given. I now accept that the information did not provide a sufficient basis for so serious an allegation, and I should not have made it. I withdraw that allegation and apologise to Mr. Harborne for the distress caused.

Won’t answer the question, because to do so necessarily admits their concept of the nation is not what has been stated earlier. They would have to change their definition of the nation to include the civnat exception. It’s funny because they’re being disingenuous just to not appear weak socially.

Yes, through marriage, so their children carry the nation's ethnic heritage and they gain a permanent interest in the nation. They cannot change their ethnic heritage.

The people do not want mass deportations. The people want Andy Burnham in the next Traitors season. When engaging them in politics your choices are costa livin, rNHS and a Tom and Jerry re-run featuring two fictional countries in the Levant.

"Do any of you have any concept of being politically savvy?" Do you have any concept of being patriotic? People aren't in the mood for being politically savvy Jack. They're in the mood to fucking fight! This isn't a fucking game!!

Without doubt one of my all time favourite claims by the Tories from the Corbyn era
Replying to @Entick_
This is a major problem on the right. Everyone seems to have such short term memories. Like I'm not saying Burnham is great, but you know what, I'm going to say it. The Tories who promised they would fix our issues and just made everything worse.

I think any concerns about electability at this stage take second place to having a consolidated national-populist bloc which can totemically defeat Kemi's Tories and deprive Labour of a majority. On current projections the Conservatives keep a lot of seats on v tight margins.

He still basically just wants a job with Reform...it requires something of a volte face on the part of Farage, but you could out manoeuvre the Tory divide & conquer plot by bringing the nationalist contingent within Restore into the fold.
Farage: "If those Restore supporters online see that we are the only vehicle, genuinely on the centre-right, that can beat the Labour Party and come back to us, then our polling will start to look very different, very quickly." Here's what Farage doesn't understand. We are not a "centre-right" party. Our voters are not "centre-right." The country was governed by the "centre-right" for 14 years, and they brought us to the brink of destruction. The "centre-right" are, in many ways, the greatest traitors of all. The Left are at least honest about their intentions towards us; the "centre-right" dress it up in a pinstripe suit and posh accent. But their ideology will still see us reduced to a hated and marginalised minority in our own homeland. You are not going to win our voters over by appealing to the "centre-right." We are radicals. We don't care what the "centre" thinks of us. In fact, we despise them. If Farage is serious about this, perhaps he should reconsider the offer we made him in August.

In a similar vein, the data showing that Albanian nationals are hugely over-represented in British prisons ignores the fact that the Albanian population in Britain is heavily skewed toward drug dealers.
Replying to @MonkEmma
Which is ridiculous, as the overwhelming majority of sexual offences are committed by young men. And Afghan populations in the UK are heavily skewed toward young men. So you are not comparing a like-for-like population. 5/

Appealing to young people isn’t a viable electoral strategy for a right wing Party in Britain
Imagine thinking Restore ppl want centre right politics. Centre right politics is dying because it failed 2 generations. Only voters aged 60+ are keeping it afloat. For every 10 young right wingers I meet I reckon 2-3 are CR, the rest are national conservatives or nationalists

At some stage, Nigel Farage will have to frame his Breaking Points Campaign (2016) in black, red, and white, to be posted 1st class to every right wing zoomer with no memory of the past. Nigel understands how to build a coalition of 52% of his people more than Charlie ever will.
