Gemini 4 Argon vs Sonnet 5.5 vs GPT-6 Astra vs Opus 5.5 Honestly, Gemini 4 Argon blew me away. 🤯 It's 4x cheaper than Opus and 7x faster, and it still looks incredible. Opus is still the king, obviously, at that price and time. But I'm really liking Gemini on this one. What do you guys think? 👀

This week: two PHP bugs put the internet in lockdown. Today: Claude proved security properties in 100+ open-source libraries in a few weeks. Someone point it at PHP. 🙃
New on our Frontier Red Team blog: using Claude to formally verify software at large scale. Formal verification can prove that code is free of certain bugs, but historically it has only been feasible for small codebases (or required a lot of expert time). With AI models, however, this is beginning to change. In collaboration with @theoremlabs, we used Claude to prove security properties in over one hundred real-world open-source libraries over the span of a few weeks. Claude stops asking for permission next week. Sounds scary. Then you read the numbers: Humans approving each step caught 14% of dangerous commands. The auto check caught 89%. We were the security hole. 🤦
Starting next week, sessions across Claude web, desktop, and mobile apps will run in auto mode by default on Pro, Max, and Team plans. Rather than asking you to approve each step, an automated check blocks risky actions. Switch back to manual anytime.

Everyone said PHP was dead. It still runs 7 in 10 websites. Two bugs, and the internet's in lockdown. Seriously, WTF!
The internet is going into a LOCKDOWN. Hundreds of millions of websites are potentially at risk from cyberattacks. Governments, banks and major platforms have already taken their websites OFFLINE. Many are already calling it “Black October.” At the centre of the shutdowns is something most of us have never heard of, but use every day. PHP, the software behind roughly 7 in 10 websites, has two critical flaws that can let hackers break in without a password. Dubbed PHP2Shell, both are rated 9.2 out of 10 for severity. Details began circulating on Oct 20. Emergency fixes arrived the next day, but attackers were already moving. Cloudflare’s CEO says hacking attempts then jumped from thousands to MILLIONS within hours. Cybersecurity agencies across several countries are telling PHP site owners the same thing: Patch it now, or take it offline. Websites have gone dark worldwide, from government portals and hospitals to banks. CrowdStrike warns these attacks leave almost no trace, so some sites may not know if they’ve been hit. Around 2.6 MILLION internet-facing servers run PHP, potentially hosting hundreds of sites each. Over 1.1 million use older versions no longer receiving official PHP updates. Older installations may need an upgrade to a supported PHP version or a fix from their software provider. And patching does not remove a backdoor an attacker may already have planted. Cloudflare also says hackers are now tweaking their attacks to try to slip past its protections. But PHP isn’t the only security story unfolding. -Japan’s Onamae suspended ALL Desktop Cloud plans after malware was found on customer servers. -India’s eMudhra had 8 website-certificate keys so weak, one was literally the number “4”. -State Bank of India confirmed 3,897 customer records on the dark web. -Criminals used AI agents to break into 400+ Latin American banks. -Capcom confirmed a breach exposing 11.7 million email addresses. -GitLab disclosed a 10/10 severity flaw in versions going back to 2014. -LiteLLM removed a malware-containing release. Railway reported possible exposure of customer secrets. None of these has a confirmed link to PHP2Shell. We’re seeing separate breaches unfold together. The true number of incidents could take months to come out. The world is still on alert. Attacks are still coming.

AI helped me build my products. Getting customers is still the hard part. Someone could be recommending your app in a video right now, without tagging you. You might never see it. That’s the part of @nectarsocialai’s pitch that caught my attention. The promise is to find those mentions inside videos, voiceovers and on-screen text, even when there’s no tag. Finding someone who already uses your product gives you a useful starting point for a conversation. You can learn what they value, answer questions or explore working together. Their comments might also reveal what’s stopping other people from trying it. For a solo founder, that could help with both customer research and finding people to work with. I’d judge it by whether those discoveries lead to better decisions and actual customers. Finding a mention is only the beginning. Someone choosing to recommend your product is worth paying attention to. I’d hate to miss that because they didn’t include an @.
Engineers stopped writing every line of code and started directing agents. Growth and marketing teams are in that moment now. Meet the next chapter of Nectar: the agentic growth stack. Opus 5.5 has been nerfed? Confirmed 🤯 Everyone was talking about it yesterday, so I tested it myself. Same prompt. Launch → Oct 3 → today. Worse every time. And it burns tokens faster. 😱🤦

Claude Opus 5.5 vs. GPT-6 Astra ⚔️ The Lighthouse NEW benchmark is in!!! 🌊🔦🔥 Honestly, they both did a great job on this one. 🤯 GPT-6 Astra has the colors. 🎨 That sunset sky and teal ocean are gorgeous. Opus 5.5 has the cinematic lens. 🎬 The light beam, the waves rolling in… Like a movie shot. Opus 5.5: $53.57 · 2h 44m GPT-6 Astra: $42.28 · 2h 29m So which one wins for you, color or cinema? 👀 Should I throw MiniMax and Gemini Argon at this lighthouse next? 👇

Think you're too old for this? A 20-year-old will always type code faster than you. But AI agents write the code now. What matters is knowing a real problem and judging what's good, and that comes with years. That's your head start. How I did it 👇
