The next war won't be won by armies, navies or air forces alone.
It'll be won by the country whose 19 year olds can code, whose factories can build drones in weeks not years, and whose grid stays on when someone tries to switch it off.
Industry. Society. Economy. That's the fight now.
We're not ready. And we're not being honest about what getting ready will cost.

Keir, thank you for all our cooperation, your support, and the joint decisions that have helped make our Europe and our protection of life stronger.
The United Kingdom has been, is, and will remain among the world’s leaders. Here in Ukraine, we deeply value Britain, and every meeting and every conversation we have had has always been filled with real substance.
Thank you for always being in touch, always engaged, and always striving to do what is needed and what will truly help.
I wish the United Kingdom and all British people every success as well as realisation of your national goals. We have confidence in Britain.
Keir, you are always a welcome guest in Ukraine.

A protest vote can feel powerful - but it doesn’t always have the impact people expect.
In many elections, votes don’t just reflect preference, they determine results. Sometimes a protest vote can unintentionally split support and help deliver an outcome further away from what was intended.
That’s why it’s worth thinking not just about what you’re voting against, but what your vote might actually help deliver on the day.

In my first year as an MP I tried to expand take up of free school meals to save low income households £500 per child. Today's vote is making it a reality for half a million more children

As a former Wing Commander, I can tell you, our brave RAF pilots are not just “hanging around” when they put their lives at risk to save others.
The words you’re looking for @KemiBadenoch are ‘Thank you’
Serious times require serious politicians and you’ve just failed the test.

What happens when Reform actually runs councils… after Gorton by election last week where they were rejected despite all their bravado about winning seat:

Incredible and outrageous.
Incredibly this rare, ancient 21 mile long chalk stream is officially a road. Outrageously it’s being used for 4x4 fun - destroying nature in the process. In the days of horses and carts it was a road for good reason, that was a long time ago - government needs to urgently intervene. Allow this stream to be a stream - and a great nature habitat.

Incredibly proud to be a part of the administration to pass the last ever budget in the life of Runnymede Borough Council. A solid, balanced budget, putting local people first.
My thanks to Councillor Robert King for his leadership and efforts in the preparation of this budget.

Today is Holocaust Memorial Day where we remember the six million Jews and five million Roma, LGBT+, disabled and others murdered by the Nazis, alongside victims of subsequent genocides.
We must ensure the world knows and never forgets these atrocities.

🚨Local Resident Assists Police to Catch a Criminal in Epsom Today!
#SPCasualtyReduction officers were in #Epsom today, tackling illegal delivery riders.
This rider was stopped during the Op.
Whilst the officer was establishing that the rider had no driving licence, no insurance and was overstaying in the UK for over three years, the rider made off, on foot. He threw his helmet and other apparel at the pursuing officer in his attempt to escape.
The pursuing officer then got a lift from a local senior resident who appeared to have been waiting her whole life for this exact moment.
The rider was swiftly apprehended and arrested and the scooter seized.

So much negativity…come on everyone it’s Xmas. Be kind and balanced before judging. This is a new initiative and I am grateful to the team for pulling this together, funding it and delivering the plan to support those that need it…this is a good thing 🫡🥳.
Around 30,000 junior personnel in years 2-5 of their military careers – a group particularly affected by postings far from home early in their service – will benefit from a funded return journey to see their loved ones this Christmas.
A further 5,000 separated parents with non-resident children will also receive travel credit, helping them reunite with their children over Christmas.
This is targeted support where it is most needed – with personnel in their early years of service most likely to be separated from family and friends due to the demands of military life and placements.
While many in the Armed Forces already qualify for travel cost support, around 35,000 service personnel don’t currently qualify for this support, and the Government is changing that this festive season.
