Eric is Over

“I was fortunate to meet Vader in 2016. About 7 months before this, I was hit head-on on my way to work. I broke my back at T7 and was told I was lucky to be alive and able to walk. When it came my turn to meet him, we talked, and he was as kind as can be. We went to take this picture, and he felt the big back brace I had on under my shirt. He stepped away for a second and asked if I was OK and wanted to know what happened. His line was getting long, and the people working his table were trying to hurry us up. Vader got a chair for me and told me to sit down. Then he told the people that he was having an important conversation, and he was going to take as long as he wanted. I told him all about the accident and how I was currently doing. He was genuinely concerned for me. I’ve met a lot of wrestlers and people who work in the business and have rarely had a bad experience. Vader, or as I called him, Mr. White, was hands down one of the nicest I’ve met yet. His passing hit me hard. I’m honored to have met him and been given the opportunity to talk with him for 35 minutes or so. There will never be another Vader!
