I just finally figured out a giant blocker that I've faced with my robotics course just before we do our first online course and it becomes an impenetrable blocker rather than an annoying one good thing it worked and now have a playbook to deliver software to power any robot on earth, delivered from 1000s of miles away with the exact configuation it needs just got this onto @EricLevin77's robot while we are 4000 miles away

I read an article recently about an awe-inspiring installation/observatory called "Star Axis", a project that artist Charles Ross first envisioned 50 years ago and has been building out on a mesa in New Mexico ever since. I experimented with @NickDevFE's awesome img2threejs skill and opus 5 to make a threejs version to explore, which has me even more excited to journey there for real when the stars align (Links to article and code below)

Adding some musicians jamming around town, starting with corona heights! Also added a fully procedural spatial soundscape with wind, birds, ocean sounds, etc in that shifts depending on the area and time of day. Integrating @SkyeSharkie’s awesome foliage generator ThreeSeed to bring buena vista alive

Open sourcing the San Francisco playground! It's now multiplayer with a map you can use to teleport all around, and you can switch between walking, driving, boating, and flying a drone, plane, or phoenix (using mouse/keyboard or controller) . When you get close to others you can talk with them using webrtc. No account signup needed, just enter a name and start exploring. You can also share a link from anywhere in the city with a friend and they'll hop in right next to you Fable did a great job finding all the open source data on SF, using that to create the buildings, roads, etc in blender, and building the pipeline to chunk it up and optimize it for streaming in threejs. For specific landmarks that I wanted to look nicer then the low poly automated structures, I gave claude screenshots of and asked it to create a higher quality version of the structure . Currently adding in some interactive exhibits like a fluid sim and an immersive music dome into the exploratorium. Links below (app includes a writeup which goes into much more depth on the process and systems involved)
