1/5 Minnesota goes to PPA Vegas: Apparently 98° and direct sun are not “a dry heat” when you’re slowly cooking in stadium seats. We had an absolute blast and WILL be back. But @PPATour, I have notes. 😂 #PPATour

5/5 The great part? Live pro pickleball is SO much better than TV. The speed and athleticism are unreal. Nearly every pro we met was incredibly gracious with fans. That accessibility makes this sport special. PPA Vegas was a blast. Fix a few things and we’ll happily roast again

4/5 Also, Sports Spectating 101: Point happening? WAIT AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS. And yelling “go back to Argentina” at Fed was disgusting. So was yelling at sweaty players to hurry up between points. They’re professional athletes. Let’s act like professional sports fans.

3/5 If we’re staying past 10pm, FEED US. Two of three food trucks closing + few cool/healthy choices in 98° heat wasn’t ideal. And the stands weren’t empty. Everyone was packed onto the shade side because the sunny side was basically an air fryer.

2/5 A 2pm start “because of the heat” is…a choice. That’s one of the hottest parts of the day. It also leaves traveling fans in limbo all day, then pickleball runs past 10pm. Vegas has a few other things we’d occasionally like to see.
