"For sixty years we've measured food security in calories and tonnes per hectare, and on those measures we've done remarkably well. But we've been quietly hollowing out what's inside our food,"

You trust a person once and they break your trust - their mistake. You trust that person again and they break your trust - your mistake.
Reminded of it in so many things.
India hasn't made it to hockey WC semis in a long time - possibly longer than I have been around. But can we finish better than we have done in the recent past in the qualification matches - can we make it to the top 6?
The gen Z movement showed that the power rests with the people - to a degree. I would love them to maintain dignity and inclusion - they haven't been careful of that - without any whataboutery. Finally running India is incredibly hard - build yourself for that if you're serious.
An eye-opener while talking to folks in the West is how often they look at poverty as a failure of the individual and something to abhor and hide, how openly they advocate segregation based on financial status.
Indian women on the cusp of a fine away Test victory vs England. Much reason to celebrate. #INDWvsENGW

Most WhatsApp special interest groups don't serve the purpose - they become just show-off platforms for one or a handful of members at best. Usually the ones which involve activity by the members do much better.
History is being made as J&K is about to win the Ranji Trophy beating Karnataka in the final - the ultimate underdog story. The T20 WC has taken all attention off it but this is a stupendous feat!

NDTV and maybe other Indian media channels are actually covering the situation on the ground in #BangladeshCrisis. Credit to the channels and to BD authorities for not curbing this. It's still dire but the BD govt says there is no evidence of blasphemy - small mercies.
