I’m not lucky.
I’m blessed my parents made big sacrifices to come to this country, start a business, employ Americans, and create a better life for my sisters and me.
God bless America. I love the USA.
Thanks Mom & Dad!
If you are an American, this letter is addressed to you, personally. You are an incredibly lucky person and it’s time you cheer up about it. bit.ly/2CbQs1y

I'm 52 years old. I have terminal Stage IV esophageal cancer. And my life has become something I never could have imagined.
I have metastatic adenocarcinoma with signet-ring features. It's spread to my liver, lymph nodes, stomach and peritoneum. The surgery that was supposed to potentially save my life was aborted when they discovered it had already spread.
I've been through chemotherapy. I've had a stent shoved down my esophagus just to help me swallow. I've lived with a feeding tube. I've had to rethink something most people never give a second thought to: eating.
A cheeseburger. Pizza. A normal meal with my family. Things that used to be completely ordinary have become things I miss.
Every meal is a calculation. Calories. Protein. What can I swallow? What will hurt? What will stay down? How much can my stomach tolerate?
I deal with nausea, abdominal pain, strange sensations throughout my torso, swallowing difficulties, and the constant uncertainty of what is happening inside my body.
I monitor blood markers. I read CT scans. I research clinical trials. I look at experimental treatments and scientific papers, trying to find something, anything, that might give me more time.
And there's a particularly cruel part of terminal cancer that people don't always understand:
You can look relatively healthy. You can walk every day. You can laugh, read, have conversations, research things, and make plans. Meanwhile, you know there's an incurable disease growing inside you.
You become acutely aware that the future everyone else takes for granted is no longer guaranteed to you.
I have a wife. I have children. I have things I still want to experience, conversations I still want to have, and memories I still want to make.
I've even started leaving little handwritten messages around the house for my wife to find someday. Things I want her to know when I'm no longer here to tell her.
I'm not writing this because I want anyone's pity.
I'm writing it because terminal cancer is so much more than a diagnosis or a statistic. It's an entirely different existence. It's fighting for your life while simultaneously trying to figure out how to keep living it.
I don't know how much time I have. Neither does anyone else.
But I'm still here. Still walking. Still researching. Still looking for treatments. Still trying to eat. Still making plans.
And I'm not done fighting.
If you're healthy, don't take the ordinary things for granted. You have no idea how extraordinary they are until they become difficult or impossible.

Clear-headed realism but without defeatism or betrayal, yielding actual results. This is the kind of leadership pro-lifers need.

Beginning at 38:33 Governor DeSantis details his assessment of the abortion issue and has no kind words for national pro-life groups' leadership and engagement in the states on the issue. He cites 17 of 21 lost state referenda. Hard to hear but necessary.

90 years ago today, Spain's leftist dominated Republic began the massacres at Paracuellos. Thousands killed, including children. Some were soldiers or right-wing politicians or intellectuals but most were killed because they were openly faithful Catholics.
Hace 90 años, un 7 de noviembre de 1936, el Frente Popular iniciaba las matanzas de Paracuellos del Jarama.
Más de 5.000 personas fueron cruelmente martirizadas por odio a la Fe. Entre ellos 276 niños.

Most larger school districts in Ohio have dozens (DOZENS!) of administrators, each making well into the six figures not even including their generous pension benefits (& many double-dippers who retire in their 50s, start collecting pension, and then get rehired at $100k+ per yr)

Watch this video.
There has never been a chief of staff in American history who sees the existential threat of corporate interests who profit from children being sick so clearly.
We have an opportunity to get big, bi-partisan things done to make children healthier.

Ohio voters are demanding election security! Isn’t it strange that the new Secretary of State is already fighting this clear mandate from voters? @Russo4Ohio
700,000 MORE Ohioans voted to make voter ID permanent than voted for @Russo4Ohio.
But here is Ohio’s new Secretary of State INVITING liberal allies to sue her so she can dismantle a safeguard with more voter support than she has.

Modern era two-term presidents get “thumped” in the sixth year midterms: Nixon/Ford, Reagan, W, Obama and now Trump. (Clinton got his whacking early in 1994 and was cowed.) Even journalists who are hardly historians rarely cite the election results as major achievements or losses. B/c the powers of the presidency are so vast and matter most in the world of national security and foreign affairs, midterms just doesn’t enter into the “What did they get done?” question.
Legislate in first term and, if lucky, the first two years of the second. In the last two years, focus on enemies and friends —trying to contain/hurt the former and helping the latter.

It’s interesting to observe that the secular and celebrated French Revolution killed more in 10 years than the religious and infamous Spanish Inquisition did in 356 years by a ratio of about 75:1.
Ohio, brace yourselves for the invasion: we are about to be invaded by a hoard of condescending GenZ Ivy League Wünderkinds who once read about the Short North in New Yorker magazine - these are the experts coming to run Ohio government for the next two years…
John Haseley, former chief of staff to Democrat's last Gov. Ted Strickland (and Ohio Bobcat), will lead Gov.-elect Acton's transition team.
