The day a nurse misses your vein and injects a substance into the wrong channel. The day a doctor misdiagnoses you and leaves you carrying a fear you may never fully recover from. That’s the day you’ll understand why you should never condone an unjust system. I’m not saying these aren’t genuine mistakes adequately trained professionals can do. But imagine it’s done by someone who wasn’t supposed to be in the service in the first place. An unjust system is never truly on your side. Today, its injustice may work in your favour; tomorrow, its injustice will work against you. And when it does, you’ll wish you had spoken up when the suffering belonged to someone else. Never mistake an injustice that benefits you for a system that serves you. A system that can be unjust to others can, without warning, be unjust to you.

And while we are on the topic of the kids who died in Yde today, let's not forget earlier this year, 2 teen girls in Kumba were raped and killed close to their school, after they were sent back home from school to redo their 'rough' hair. These girls never made it home!

The doctor-to-patient ratio in Cameroon is deeply concerning, and I’m not sure we talk enough about the systemic failures behind it. The treatment of medical personnel and students by the government and the educational system is disheartening. We continue to train doctors, many of whom eventually leave the country for better opportunities and working conditions. CUSS graduates hundreds of medical students, but where are the hospitals, the jobs, the equipment and the facilities to support them? What exactly is the point of training medical professionals if we cannot create the conditions for them to serve the population? We are turning medical education into an export industry while our own healthcare system struggles to meet the needs of its people. At this rate, you might want to start learning how to boil pawpaw leaves and ask your parents about those traditional methods 😭😂 Because in Cameroon, you’re very likely one minor illness away from death.

Understand that being grown sometimes requires silence. Let people run with whatever story they created about you and tell it to whoever wants to listen. You don't have to correct every version of you that exists in someone else's mind.

The impact of the escalation in the Middle East extends far beyond the region. By year-end, 11.7 million more women and girls in 28 countries could face food insecurity. #ForAllWomenAndGirls, access to food must be protected. See @vanyaradzayi's remarks: unwomen.org/en/news-stories/…

7 men drugged and raped a girl at a university for hours and even sent a message to a group chat, saying they have “free p***y” so others can join. Their conviction was to write essays, this is the patriarchy women come to fight against every day and some of you call it madness.

As a Third World country, we can’t keep skipping industrialization and jumping straight into digitalization. We cannot be talking about owning our own AI when we don’t have the electricity day to day activities less to talk about a data center

This is how #EndAnglophoneCrisis started 10 years ago….
More than 60 lawyers from Cameroon’s South West Region have petitioned President Paul Biya, calling for urgent action to improve road connectivity and access to electricity and potable water in the region. The open petition, signed by members of the South West Indigenous Lawyers Association and dated August 11, was submitted through Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute. The lawyers say the region's six divisions: Fako, Meme, Manyu, Ndian, Lebialem and Kupe-Manenguba remain inadequately connected by tarred, all-season roads. “It is unacceptable and frustrating in 2026 that our 6 Divisions... are not all connected by tarred, all-season roads,” they said. The lawyers argued that poor connectivity isolates communities, raises the cost of living and restricts access to markets, hospitals and schools. They are also demanding reliable electricity and potable water in divisional and subdivisional headquarters and other major towns, citing prolonged power outages and the absence of electricity and safe water in some communities. “The punishment of no road, lack of water and the unfortunate regular power outages are becoming unbearable,” the petition states. The lawyers describe development as “the best antidote to division and frustration,” urging the government to treat infrastructure development in the South West as a national priority. “Connecting our Region by road, light, and water will send a strong message of inclusion, unity, and hope to the people of the South West,” they said, while reaffirming their commitment to peace, unity and the rule of law. #MMINews

I can’t stand girls who are constantly talking themselves down or turning every day into a self-pity convention. Those “suffer-head” WhatsApp statuses, hardship memes, and self-deprecating jokes aren’t funny to me. They’re exhausting! How do you expect people to see value in you when you consistently strip yourself of it first? At some point, it starts looking like you’ve made peace with mediocrity… and worse, you’re preparing to pass that mindset on to your next generation.
