Runes were supposed to be Bitcoin’s memecoins.
The problem was never creating them.
It was trading them.
A Rune doesn’t trade like a Solana memecoin. There’s no bonding curve or pool you can instantly sell into. You list what you own, wait for someone to buy it, then wait for Bitcoin to confirm the trade.
When the market is moving fast, that difference matters.
Etchy is our attempt to give Runes the trading experience they were missing.
When you launch on Etchy, you aren’t choosing between Bitcoin and Solana.
Your coin starts on both.
The Solana side is where the market trades.
It launches on a bonding curve priced in BTC, but users buy and sell with SOL. Trades happen in seconds, there is always a live price, and selling doesn’t depend on finding another person willing to buy your exact listing.
At the same time, Etchy etches the coin as a real Rune on Bitcoin.
The entire Rune supply is held against the Solana supply 1:1.
That means the Solana token isn’t just another copy of a Bitcoin meme.
It represents the same supply.
If you want to hold the Rune on Bitcoin, bridge to Bitcoin.
If you want to trade it quickly again, bridge back to Solana.
One coin, with a liquid Solana market and a real Bitcoin Rune behind it.
We also fixed one of the stranger limitations of Runes: they have almost no identity on their own.
A Rune can have a name, but it can’t natively carry everything people expect from a coin today.
So every Etchy Rune is created together with an inscription in the same Bitcoin transaction.
That inscription permanently connects it to its:
logo
ticker
description
links
Solana contract address
From the Rune’s first block, anyone can see what it is and which Solana market belongs to it.
Even naming is handled differently.
You don’t pick a Rune name and race someone else to etch it first.
Bitcoin assigns the Rune name during the launch, making that name its Bitcoin identifier from the start.
Then the rest of the launch works much closer to what people already expect from Solana:
Your dev buy is included as the first trade of the launch, so nobody can buy before you.
Launching itself is free. You only cover the Bitcoin and Solana network costs, shown in SOL before you approve.
0.25% of every trade goes to the coin creator
Creator fees can be claimed whenever the creator wants.
Once the bonding curve reaches ₿0.115, the coin graduates to a Meteora pool and its liquidity is locked forever.

Buyback and burn: 25% of the fees Etchy earns on every coin buy back $ETCHY, and every token bought is burned forever.
Holder rewards: 0.5% of every trade goes to the top 100 holders of $ETCHY in WBTC, every 4 hours. Ranked and paid by balance × time held: hold more or hold longer, earn more. No rewards for wallets over 4% of the supply.
All automatic. Every buyback, burn and payout is public on etchy.fun/buyback and etchy.fun/rewards.
Runes gave Bitcoin a way to create memecoins.
Etchy gives those memecoins somewhere they can actually move.
A real Rune on Bitcoin.
A real market on Solana.
Connected 1:1.

0.25 BTC (~$20k) is still up for grabs
First dev to take a Rune on Etchy to $1M market cap and hold it 48 hours wins it!

Change of plans, we're going bigger!
It's now 0.25 BTC (~$20k) for one dev
The first to launch a Rune on Etchy, hit $1M market cap and hold it for 48 hours takes it all!
Bridge or Zero mode, custom Rune names only

Two days ago, we launched the first AMM of its kind for trading real Bitcoin Runes against WBTC on Solana.
Here's how it actually works:
The Runes remain in Bitcoin Taproot vaults. Our Solana program manages ownership balances and executes trades against WBTC, while an on-chain Bitcoin light client verifies Rune deposits and withdrawals.
This means you're trading actual Bitcoin Runes without wrapping them into SPL tokens or waiting for Bitcoin confirmations every time you buy or sell.
The AMM is live, the SDK is public, and any trading platform can integrate it.
For the first time, Bitcoin Runes have a dedicated market built around Solana's trading speed.
Which trading platform would you want to see support Zero first?

Devs, we're giving away 0.1 BTC (~$8k)
The next 5 devs to launch a Rune on Etchy and hit $100k market cap get 0.02 BTC each (~$1,600)
Bridge or Zero mode, both count
(Custom Rune names only)

Launching a Rune takes time because etching happens on Bitcoin, and Bitcoin block times are outside anyone's control.
That's just how Bitcoin works.
Once the Rune is live, everything else takes seconds.

To our knowledge, this is the first AMM that lets real Bitcoin Runes trade at Solana speed without minting a solana token.
No SPL tokens. No Etchy-controlled vault keys. Bitcoin proofs verified directly on Solana. Trades settle in ~1 second.
This is entirely new infrastructure for Bitcoin Runes, and it's LIVE.
Etchy Zero is live.
It's the first AMM where real Bitcoin Runes trade at Solana speed. No token gets minted for the Rune. You're trading the Rune itself, and a trade settles in about a second.
How it works ↓
Launching is one click at etchy.fun/zero. Pay in SOL or BTC, add your first buy in the same confirmation, and the Rune gets etched with its logo inscribed.
Creators choose who earns 1% of every trade: holders, themselves, or route fees up to 5 BTC wallets.
Builders get the same access we have: a public API, a TypeScript SDK, and a keeper anyone can run to keep pools in sync with Bitcoin.
