The Eternal Frames🫀

#Ramayana | Digital Cinema Package Update. Team #Ramayana has pulled off something extraordinary. The film is being delivered to cinemas in genuine 4K 3D, not an upscaled version. It will also have a 4K 2D release. This is a rare feat. Only a handful of films in cinema history have received 4K 3D DCPs, including #AvatarTheWayOfWater and other films in the Avatar series. Fewer than 10 films may have achieved this so far. A few important updates: • 4K 3D and 4K 2D DCPs are confirmed. • IMAX 12-channel audio is either unavailable or still pending. • EPIQ and Barco HDR DCPs are unlikely, but I’ll update if that changes. • Standard 4K 2D DCP size: 247.24 GB. • The 360 GB IMAX DCP size circulating online is accurate, but it refers to the international DCP. The Indian IMAX DCP is expected to be similar in size. • Dolby Cinema DCP size is still pending. I’ll update once confirmed. So far, only IMAX and Dolby Cinema will receive dedicated versions. All other cinemas will screen the standard version. A technical achievement worth noting, especially for a film of this scale.
