Good Saturday to all! Thinking of Three together today.

In the past 24 hours I’ve seen several relatives posting that individuals in their families ended their lives.
If you feel that you’d like to end yours, call 988 or 911.
But here’s my message: life seems heavy right now but there is a lot of HOPE!!!!!!
Don’t give up. ❤️

I’m so sick of seeing people across social media claim Abdul El-Sayed is only getting heat “because he’s a Muslim man.”
That’s not the reason. Other Muslims have been elected to office without this reaction. Repeating it just makes you look stupid.
Here are the actual problems:
1- In 2012 he signed a letter to Mohamed Morsi (the Muslim Brotherhood president of Egypt) supporting his power grab and calling on him to “purge the media and the police as quickly as possible.”
2- His biological mother, Fatten Elkomy, worked for the Islamic American Relief Agency (IARA), which the U.S. Treasury designated for supporting terrorism. His half-sister has publicly said their mother was active in the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt in the 1970s.
3- His half-sister Eman Abdelhadi posted on social media about their mother’s Muslim Brotherhood activism and expressed support for family members backing the Brotherhood in Egypt.
4- He refused to condemn the IRGC when directly asked by an Iranian-American student whose family was targeted by them. Leaked audio also shows he deliberately stayed silent on Khamenei’s death because “there are a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad,” prioritizing his base over basic condemnation of a terrorist regime.
5- His father, Mohamed El-Sayed, sits on the board of Life for Relief and Development, a Michigan-based Islamic charity that paid a $780,000 settlement to the U.S. Treasury for violating sanctions by transferring money into Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. The group has also faced raids and scrutiny over alleged ties to terror-linked networks.
These are documented facts.

Wife took a video of me this morning.
This is apparently what 4:30 looks like.
She said we need a new camera. 🤣
When disciples of Jesus Christ talk to each other regardless of the sect they affiliate with, beautiful things happen. Putting aside differences and looking for common ground is key. We can choose to show love.
Jesus is coming fairly soon.

Reading the Book of Mormon has brought me closer to Christ and to my own Catholic faith.
I have said it many times before, and I will continue to say it — because it is the truth.
The past four months, this project has helped me to realize that one’s proximity to Christ is best measured by how you treat those whom you would consider “other.” It’s not about the doctrine you can recite or your understanding of Church history. No, it’s about whether you have lived up to the commandments: “you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind,” and “you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Truly, the whole law and the prophets depend on these.
The wonderful conversations that I have had and the spiritual family that I have found (which includes Catholics, Latter-day Saints and Protestants alike) have been a source of strength and inspiration during some very trying times. And, yes, I do consider them all members of my spiritual family. They are my brothers and sisters in Christ as Christ Himself proclaimed “whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” (Matt 12:48)
Regardless of the fact that the Book of Mormon is not a part of the Catholic canon, it contains deep truths, a powerful narrative, and truly points to Christ and His Gospel. I do not know if it is archeologically true. I honestly don’t care. There are far deeper truths than that which can be unearthed with a spade. Anyone who knows the first thing about the Bible should know this — especially anyone who is historically literate and has read even the opening of Judith.
So, yes, I will gladly stand before any tribunal and speak the truth as I have experienced it — and that truth is that the Book of Mormon has brought me closer to Christ.

These are klipspringer antelope and they always live near rock outcrops/cliffs because scaling vertical rocks is literally how they have evolved to avoid predators
An incredible adaptation. To hang fast like that and not to panic. Evolution is wild. The random ones with better hooves survived more. Over a long time the better hooves become standard.
