My thoughts are with John Davidson today, Tourettes sufferer and campaigner. He's worked hard to raise awareness of a condition that makes people shout horrible things.
It happened to him last night. At the BAFTA's.
And he's actually being condemned as a racist.
By idiots.
A cop did this when I was a young CID Trainee. He didn't mean any harm. He just wanted to get the File submitted. Suspicion fell on me. I was ostracised, as if I had Leprosy.
Luckily, the Discipline Dept saw through it, and they told me that the fucker had tried to blame me 1/

He was a Madon, and merely got moved.
15 years later, I'm an Inspector, and he's a Civvie Investigator. We bump into each other in a crowded office.
"Hi Brian" he says.
"Fuck off Paul, you lying prick" I reply.
Everyone's jaw hit the floor, and I went for my Refs.

Instead of teaching my child Critical Race Theory I accidentally taught them Critical Thinking and now I'm finding it basically impossible to convince them they are Trans.
The Police are their own worst enemies. Too many cops take the short term financial gain, thus keeping the wheel on.
Let the wheel fall off. Only then will you see a long term improvement in your pay and conditions.

It is simply mind-blowing that an organisation set up to protect people who simply want to love and desire who they love and desire, and not to be shamed for it or discriminated against for it, has turned into an organisation arguing that gay people who aren't open to sleeping with the opposite sex are morally reprehensible.
This is very true. My mate Mo was set upon by a guy he'd just stabbed.
This Islamophobia Awareness Month, we must shine a light on the abhorrent hatred and discrimination Muslims continue to face.
In the last year alone, religious hate crimes targeting Muslims rose by 15% in England and Wales.
This is utterly unacceptable. London will always stand against hatred, prejudice and discrimination.
If I was the child's father, I'd kick his arse and make him apologise to the cop.
For a while, before it was centralised I was an OST instructor for my branch. I did the cadre (my last beasting ever), did the instructor training, did the regular continuation training. Got the T-Shirt (red! - as was), certificates on the wall the lot.
Repeatedly stabbing a child with the steel loop of a quickcuff is a technique that was never taught. That's not to say that there aren't occasions where it might be reasonable, but a small child sat on the floor? No.
No matter what he'd done to deserve arrest, if I was the child's father I'd be looking to have a conversation with that officer, he's a fucking disgrace.
Not my video, a copy of a copy, happy to acknowledge the OP).

Slavery was an evil in which people from every continent and region participated. We should be honest about the whole history, not select the parts that are politically convenient today, especially given Britain's leading role in ending the transatlantic slave trade.
If Caribbean countries are asking Britain for a formal apology for Britain’s role in the transatlantic slave trade, will they also be asking the same of the descendants of African kingdoms, rulers and merchants who captured, sold and profited from the trade?
On demands for reparations, whether through cash or debt relief, we have been down this track before. Twenty-five years ago, Jubilee 2000, Drop the Debt and Make Poverty History argued that cancelling the debts of poorer countries would give them a fresh start. More than $100 billion of debt was eventually written off, but many of those countries have since built up even bigger debts. Labour are already spending too much on Britain's welfare state, now is not the time for Andy Burnham to be providing global welfare.
There is no reason British taxpayers today should be held financially responsible for things that happened generations before any of us were born. And I have even less patience for political elites in commonwealth countries who don’t know how to make their own citizens prosperous now looking for another opportunity to blame Britain.
As Prime Minister, Andy Burnham should be Britain’s greatest defender. Instead, he is writing articles saying we need to confront our history (as if we haven't done enough of that) and considering another formal historical apology. Tony Blair already expressed Britain’s deep sorrow and regret for our role in the slave trade nearly twenty years ago. There is no need to do so again.
This is all another navel-gazing distraction. The Commonwealth should be looking forward, not endlessly backwards. That means economic partnerships to make us all richer and deeper military and security cooperation against common threats. If every Commonwealth summit becomes an exercise in presenting Britain with demands for cash then we need to start asking if it is worth the effort.
Imagine the furore if he said they were almost always white people.
He would be hunted down, cancelled, prosecuted and even scolded by the Prime Minister.
We'll never be rid of racism as long as racist pricks like this are celebrated.
Yes. My nephew is says he's autistic, and is a keen footballer.
When he plays he picks the ball up and pops it. It's brilliant to watch. It's so disappointing to watch the spectators be really nasty.
He plays the game his own way. That's what really counts. And it is perfect.
Loz has been driven a bit mental in recent years. Partly because of the pile on he received.
Here's David Walliums piling on. I wonder if the phrase "You can give it, but you can't take it" applies.
Apparently there’s a celebrity threatening to kill themselves if allegations about them are made public. I feel deeply for the celebrity involved - whoever that person is.
Here’s @davidwalliams shredding my mental health in front of my colleagues and friends before my career was destroyed.
It's just so fucking tiresome.
You make a point, "they" argue it but..... they block you.
Because they know their arguments can't stand scrutiny.
It's just so fucking tiresome.

This apology from disability charity Scope, for cancelling my choir’s London Marathon performance because of my gender-critical views, is required to stay on its website for seven days.
Today is Day 6.
Women don’t always get the apologies they deserve. So I’d be grateful if you could help make sure this one is seen by sharing it over the next 24 hours (link below). 🙏
Thanks again to @SpeechUnion for supporting my legal case and helping secure this apology.
This was truly lovely. Back when people just wanted to live their lives without forcing others to pretend that up was down, black was white and men were women.
I miss those days. I would use preferred pronouns. Because nobody tried to forced me too.
